  1. My friend and I saw them live back in November and they were sooooooooooooooo much fun! Easily one of my Top 3 favourite gigs of 2011. Mark Foster even mentioned how much he was looking forward to playing in Ireland again after their appearance at 'Electric Picnic' last summer.
  2. Here are a number of videos from the gig I was at back in March: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Patrick+Wolf+Sugar+Club+Dublin&aq=o My favourite has to be the video for 'The City' simply because of him standing up on the couch that was directly in front of where my brother, his friends and I were sitting.
  3. Went to see him in concert on October 24th (my 2nd time this year) and it was soooooooooooooooooooo much fun! Fortunately there weren't any sound equipment problems so it started pretty much on time, but I had to get a taxi into town as there was severe flooding in many parts of the city. The driver even told me that if he was unable to get into town, he would bring me straight home but I was thinking, "No way! I've been waiting for this for months!" Anyway, the setlist was quite different to the gig I was at back in March, but I still loved it. Patrick was his usual upbeat self and really made us all laugh - especially when he started pulling at his trousers (a pretty tight pair of Lycra trousers!) and told us that he was wearing underpants with birds on them. He even told us about the award he received from Trinity College Dublin earlier that day, which was for 'Outstanding Contribution To The Arts' and said it's likely to be the only award that he'll ever win. I'm so happy that he got it as he truly deserves it. He even performed a new song called 'Pelicans', which will be on the 'Brumalia EP' (out on November 28th) and when he performed 'The Future' everyone cheered when he sang the line 'And sweet dreams of Mother Ireland'. I took several photos, but here are several videos from the gig: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Patrick+Wolf+The+Academy+Dublin&aq=o Here's the setlist as well: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/patrick-wolf/2011/the-academy-dublin-ireland-5bd1bf3c.html At the end he said that he will be back next year, so I can't wait to see him again!
  4. I absolutely adore those songs as well! Hope you have fun at the gig. I also looked through this thread and saw that no-one had posted this video, which is sooooooooooo adorable!
  5. My brother, his friends and I went to see him live on March 21st (my brother's third time seeing him, my first) and it was sooooooooooooooooooooo much fun! It was in the 'Sugar Club' in Dublin, which is quite a small venue (around 20-25 booths) and even though doors were supposed to open at 8pm, we didn't get in until 9.15pm. The reason for this was because the sound equipment they had went bust and they had to ship a new lot down from Belfast. Because of this, there was no time for a quick run-through before the show. Patrick came onstage around 9.40pm and was really apologetic about the long wait. Here's the full setlist: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/patrick-wolf/2011/the-sugar-club-dublin-ireland-53d26735.html At one stage his toy violin stopped working as it had run out of batteries, but those were replaced. During another song he trailed off completely as he had completely forgotten the words! During 'Vulture' he navigated around the audience and even serenaded a bald guy who was standing against the wall. He was also really thankful that his red jumpsuit had managed to remain in one piece as well (particularly around the trouser area). For the encore, he changed into his green 'shepherd boy' outfit and during 'The City' he actually came around to the area where my brother, his friends and I were and stood up on the couch in front of us. I'm also pretty certain that he made eye contact with us! 'Lupercalia' is definitely my favourite album of 2011 and I'm going to see him again on October 24th. I soooooooooo cannot wait!
  6. My brother and I saw her back on March 23rd and I have to admit that we were both actually disappointed with the gig. There was nothing really done with the songs in the first half that made them sound any different to what you hear on the albums, but once the 'Angel' segment started things started getting a whole lot better. The 'All The Lovers' finale was what really save the show, IMO. On a better note, both my brother and I were interviewed for a radio segment the day prior to the gig and it actually took a lot of courage for me to listen to myself on the radio as I hate hearing my own voice.
  7. My friend and I are going to their Dublin gig on November 28th. They're definitely my favourite new band of 2011.
  8. Thanks for accpeting! How are you? :)

  9. Hey:bye: thanks for the FR :pinkbow:

    Wazzup? :)

  10. It's a shame these never made it onto the album, but maybe they'll be on the 'Aphrodite - Deluxe Edition' being released later this year: Mighty Rivers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlrKTOrXfYs&feature=PlayList&p=536E09F0B19B8F77&playnext=1&index=7 Heartstrings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pl-0V3LPue0&feature=related
  11. I am absolutely LOVING her new album. It's definitely her best since 'Fever' and 'Aphrodite' has GOT to be a single!
  12. Hi. Thanks for your request :)

  13. My brother and I have been HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE fans of hers since 'Neighbours' and have followed her music career right from the beginning. We've seen her twice in concert - April 7, 2005 in Dublin and June 27, 2008 in Belfast - and no other female artist comes close to her! My Top 5 favourite albums are: 1) Fever 2) Rhythm Of Love 3) Kylie Minogue 4) Impossible Princess 5) Light Years However, my Top 5 may look different after I've heard 'Aphrodite'. I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally hope she comes back to Dublin on her next tour.
  14. Hello!

The only gig I've been to was the Dublin one on February 15th. Travelling is too hard and expensive, so I find it better if it's closer to home.
