Haha, same here! The bold parts were my thoughts exactly when I was preparing to hear it. Maybe that's why my reaction was "wow, not that bad", especially after that medley. But now I so immersed into his version, that it became a must-have for every night when I switch on my PC. I would never believe it.

Really? Mika's version seems deeper in some way, but again - it is too personal, and everyone finds his own subtleties in both performances.

I decided to listen to the original, because the last time I saw that vid was million years ago (I had bad days at those times, so automatically the songs that I heard at that period are not my faves; Jesus fell a victim of this psychological phenomenon and I preferred not to listen to it all those years). So, i found that the original and Mika's version can't be compared at all, because the manner of singing and thus the message are totally different. The voice of GM is calm and technically perfect, and Mika sang more passionately and nervously, but his flaws became for me more and more attractive with every listening. I suppose, I don't have problems anymore with the cover (which I can't say about the medley).

А я твиттером редко пользуюсь, хотя иногда что-то находит, и я про него вспоминаю. Он себя немного изжил, если речь идет о поиске информации. ФБ все таки удобнее - и видео сразу, и картинки. Ну, это кому что удобнее. Ну это... я критикую, местами... Но и похвалить иногда не забываю!

The Jesus song he sang much better than I expected! Yes, there are some weak moments, but in the whole it was very touching, and in spite the flaws I can't stop listening to it every evening. Ah, maybe it's already not that relevant, but his falsetto depends on the choice of the song and on his mood. The catchiest cover lately have been "I only Wanna be with You". Really, he performed it so flawlessly than I can't stop admiring it.

Бедный зайка --- Слушай, вот сейчас пересмотрела видео (я ж говорила, что меня тянет на этот Jesus не понятно почему, прям подсела) и так его жалко стало ((( Смотрю и слезы на глазах. Да, пока его будет так тошнить от волнения, он точно не пресытится славой. Вот смотришь - такая звезда шокапец, а на самом деле без всего этого апломба, как принято считать; человек со своими страхами и неудачами. Я со всей этой его славой иногда гоню мыслишку прочь, что скоро ему это все приестся, фаны пойдут лесом (ну и так далее по тексту в пропасть). Но он еще надежно стоит на земле, а не витает в небесах.

@Pascale, I tend to agree with you. I'm really tired of GK because it doesn't sound as fresh as it used to be. And from some other songs - yes, I understand, he does the gigs not only for the hardcore fans, and common people are waiting for the 5-6 songs they know. And he changes these songs in the best way, making the whole show with LT (for example). But still.. Freddie Mercury (well, I didn't want to compare, but I can't shut up) has his voice changed drastically. So what? The funniest thing is that common people know him for his voice from 80s, and his precious voice of 70s is almost forgotten. He just started to create different songs. As for me, Mika's last album is the best. In fact, each next album was the best. It demonstrates, that his new material fits him perfectly.

As for falsetto, I think he has to move on and use his low voice more, because it's his huge asset and it's a crime not to use it in the full extend (btw I'm so glad to hear him using more his lows the last 2 years than he did earlier). Moreover, I totally adore when he sings in a full voice, so my humble opinion is that he should better stop to restrain himself, especially in the parts when it's totally unnecessary. I can't understand WHY he chooses to sing in this manner? Well, as a option, at least he could do both ways... Taking into account, that he can't sing with falsetto that easily in a physical sense, like he did 10 years ago - it can be noticed comparing the videos)

I suppose, everybody has a right to express what they feel, and there is no use to try to shut them up, so everyone could build a pink castle (with white elephants flying around happily) instead of the real alive forum. I enjoy every second of Casa Mika, and I travelled to Italy this summer, but anyway there are lots of people who support the thought and feelings of Alba, of some English girls, end etc. And they have a full right to do it. Про старость - в 3 передаче перед Good Guys. Я потом увидела танцоров и прозрела. Это ж надо быто такую идею воплотить, какой он молодец! Да, эта передача - его детище, но понятно что он с кем-то обговаривает идеи, и ему их помогают очертить и материализовать Мика написал, вот будут титры - они как раз об этом разговаривали с Эросом. Что Мике позвонили прямо когда он стоял перед служителями во французском аэропорту и сказали, что Эрос выбрал себе его песню, которая изначально была на английском. Да, это мама.

Ой, оборжалась только что! Как раз дошла до того места, где он рассказывает, каким он будет в старости. Что будет вынимать вставную челюсть, чтоб пугать в автобусе детей - я просто выпала! Ржала как ненормальная. И потом, дальше представила как он будет ругаться плохими словами и размахивать палкой Аж посмотреть захотелось. Да, надо нам себя беречь, чтоб увидеть, каким будет Мика в старости, и проконтролировать, чтоб опять не наврал. --- Забыла про Белуччи написать, опять не помню почти ничего. Что все итальянцы ему в этот момент до смерти завидуют. Что ей откуда только не приходилось появляться - бассейны, машины, вертолеты, но никогда из холодильника. Они там сначала про ее творчество говорили, потом что она уже на ТВ не ходит, а она говорит: это ж не ТВ, это твой дом. Говорили про языки, она их много знает. Дома она говорит на местном наречии. Она тоже Кавалер ордена во Франции, того что и Мика. Потом он попросил, чтоб она подала ему салат а ля Моника. Ну и понеслось.
