Hi all!! I'm a REALLY REALLY new fan of Mika because... I don't know if I was living in a rock or what and I just heard his song last week. He's not really popular yet in the Philippines and I'm not sure if I should be happy about it or not. It just shows that he isn't really mainstream and is really unique! I am really surprised though that there's no representative of the Philippines at all! Hmm....
Well I think it was *fan at first sound* with Mika! It's really funny as how I discovered him XD I was quite hungover from first day of Bikram yoga ;ast week and my body was aching all over. I couldn't sleep and tuned in to Channel V at around 12:30am and lo and behold, Mika's Kick Ass music video was playing just right in time (WHY DO THEY PLAY THE GOOD SONGS AT MIDNIGHT? GAAD! Actually they played Florence + The Machine right after, which I also INSANELY LOVE!) and I was... captivated, enchanted, etc and I just fell in love with him and his music. I knew that his music was different.
I immediately youtubed his other songs and I can't stop listening to them everyday now. I caught up with his 2 earlier albums and I play them really everyday since. I've been like an obsessed fan watching his interviews too and sighs... singing to his songs.
Thank you soo much Mika for making such GREAT MUSIC! I really really really really really x billion times wish that you'd come here in the Philippines!! Or maybe catch a show in France when I get there later this year. XD
Well so here's me, 19 years old, ethnicity Chinese who's living in the tropics, who is now an ULTIMATE MIKA FAN. Hope to meet a lot of Mika fans here too!
