Thought this might belong here.. On a recent discussion on gawker (a website/blog) about nicole kidman's new grace kelly movie, someone commented that they 'would rather listen to the Mika song (Grace Kelly) on repeat for 2 hours' than go see the movie...then this was the follow up convo to that comment: The person then replied that this was such a sad turn of affairs as mika is so 'gorgeous and talented' I did my part and informed abt TOOL and upcoming album, but

I had THE most hectic and stressful day running around trying to get things done all over town but I am so excited now abt these tix! I realize how many of u guys I'll get to meet for the first time and ofc looking frwd to catching up with the ole 'crew' I'll prolly only be in Montreal for the 2 days and spend the rest of time in Ottawa but I think I'm more excited abt the trip and people than seeing mika right now

Agreed with all of this I'm also a bit relieved as well because I've always thought it a bit sad his bf wasn't there in photo ops where otherwise a partner will normally be. Of course this was always a decision left up to them as a couple, and if it continues to be so then that is their choice and I obvs respect it, but if any of that absence was fueled by fear over what ppl would think then I hope this news gives them a reason to see that they could be more open (if they want to ofc)

Montreal is an amazing city the last time I was there - alone- and kinda paranoid I left my phone in the taxi on the way to airport and the driver brought it back for me even before I could figure out how to contact him of course it will have it's bad elements like any other place but overall ppl are very nice there and it has a great vibe

Ok mika in ads is a tad... Different however I don't quite get 'feeling sorry or sad' for him... I'm sure he's quite happy doing them and ads don't really have any sort of stigma, all the celebs do them at some point.. That's what he is there: a celeb so... I think the shark was already jumped with xfactor anyways

I saw that interview and felt very disappointed I think that was a culmination of what he experienced on x-factor, because even early in 2013 he was still saying he considered London home and himself as British even though obviously there was the whole caveat about being a mutt etc... Now it seems he's shifted his perspective and in a sad way for me at least because I agree with you Christine, he owes his fame to Britain indeed and may have made some mistakes in that market along the way but seems to want to rewrite history
