  1. Ah, I see. But what about individually? I don't really need the whole repackaged version :/ To be fair I also liked the different Good Guys versions. So I guess sometimes I like remixes.
  2. The video reminds me of the style and energy of the Celebrate video, which I also really liked. I have mixed feelings on the remix. I never ever ever like remixes. Very rarely do I like them or the idea, but somehow I absolutely love this one. But I fail to see the reasoning behind not including it on the album or remixing it at all. I fear part of this decision was to make it easier for the mainstream masses to swallow. He's done this with a few songs lately. Popular being the biggest example. Regardless, I think I'd like to own this remix so hopefully that will be available eventually.
  3. Oh goodness, I really dislike it and it is not growing on me I love Elle Me Dit, Karen/82 Rue Des Martyrs and L'amour Dans Le Mauvais Temps and I liked Live Your Life immediately. Popular didn't bother me having a female voice with him so I really don't know what's bothering me so much about this one. :/ Honestly...it feels like someone tossed out a half-baked Pitbull song and put Mika's voice on top of it and it irks me other than maybe the boum boum boum line + chorus. (Although yes, the lady(ies?) are making maybe a few too may boums.)
  4. Yeahhh, and I've never been really fond of remixes of any kind either. Although, I did enjoy the Coke Studio 'Relax'. But at the very least there was a new kind of language element to it? The Stardust one does too, but idk. I've never met a 'redo' of any song by any artist that I liked enough to keep around, let alone enjoy more than the original. (Ok, except maybe like one Gorillaz song) Side note, he did a vocal thing twice in there that made me think of Elton John.
  5. Melachi was the best. She looked so bored! And then just...gave up on everything and laid there.
  6. These are pretty cute so far. Only "usual" one was the name one, really.
  7. Exactly Alas, blasting his music out of my car window will have to suffice as US promotion for now.
  8. Sorry, I just wanted to clarify:blush-anim-cl: And that's fine, it just seems like he's not even riding. It's like he put Ariana on the wave and then watched her ride away.
  9. I don't intend to place "fault" on his lack of anything. It's not Ariana's "fault" that she's profiting so well. It's just a disappointment that it didn't turn out better for him here in this country. I feel like if I were somewhere else, it wouldn't bother me so much. But I really really wanted to see his name somewhere over here and I expected his work with Ariana to help that and it hasn't. Not a faulty situation, not negative for his artistry, just a disappointment for the sake of his representation.
  10. And I'd agree if not for my interpretation of everything else beyond someone thinking it's her song. That did catch me off guard, but just this week alone, I saw her on yet another TV show and on the front cover of a magazine. No sign or mention of Mika anywhere, save for something I saw on here. I fear that she's gaining a lot of momentum (and good for her, truly!) but Mika seems to not have profited from this song anywhere here in the US. The attitude seems more to be "This song by this guy Mika...AND ARIANA GRANDE." And because of that attitude, of course someone would mistake the song for hers. I suppose I see it as a larger issue...not just having a problem with a few people making a mistake. Perhaps it'd be nice to see them represented together as opposed to just Ariana.
  11. I remembered my other one, which I like the most: The song order on Origin Of Love really stuck out to me as well chosen. What kind of process goes into choosing the song order on your albums? I have to wonder if posting questions closer to the date gives you a better chance...
  12. I always had like...two specific questions I said I'd ask if I ever got the chance and now I forget my perfected wording. But one of them was definitely something along the lines of, "When you write, do you prefer to draw on your current experiences and feelings or have you written about past situations?" ...like I said, I had it worded perfectly at some point. But not anymore. But it's essentially my sneaky way of getting a hint about the Rain relationship timeline inconsistency
