Hi! My name is Arya and I'm from India.
So, I first introduced to Mika though the song Popular, which popped up in my YT recommendations. Now given in the country in which i live, the influence of western music is quite low, and only the mainstream songs get popular here. So, when i heard popular for the first time, I was intrigued by this voice and decided to do a mini research and came across Grace Kelly, Staring at the sun. Both of them became my instant favorites! But as i was pursuing my bachelors degree and i used to get very less time, i couldn't explore more of his songs and sadly, things started to fade away.
This October, YT was kind enough to remind me on what my life was missing on by recommending me Sanremo and Dear Jealousy. I heard and and all the memories flushed in together. I literally went crazy. I started listening to each & every song by Mika on Spotify. I knew that i have found a gemstone and I'm never gonna let it go. NEVER.EVER.
He's such a genuine and adorable person with such an inspiring back story that it makes me want to make him hugely popular in my country. So, I started searching if there is any fan club in India. There wasn't any. I searched the comment section of all his music videos. No Indian. I searched in FB and Twitter. Nothing. This made me really upset. But I decided to share the songs with my friends who, pretty obviously, loved them! So, that's my starting point towards making Mika well-known in India. I know it's immensely hard to do but I believe that someday my wish would come true.
Okay, I should stop now before getting carried away even more. Haha
