  1. Seems a shame to limit entries to only Riffx customers and even then you have to live in a certain area, doesn't really seem fair to me. Hopefully it will be an awesome opportunity to hear the album and meet Mika though! Too much to ask for a listening party in the UK though?... probably, ah C'est La Vie! Hope you get in! You might become one of the only MFCers to do so and be able to tell us all about the album before release day! Good luck to all who enter as well!
  2. I've been very sleep deprived lately and haven't had a chance yet to really say much about the Kids choir version of C'est La Vie, but I have listened and watched the video for it now and I absolutely love it! It's so full of vibrancy and happiness. I like both versions but I'm likely to listen to this more on repeat. I totally agree with you on this! We know the song is actually very sad when it comes down to the lyrics but the new video with the choir shows the happiness and the innocence of children. Children do have an "I don't care attitude" and most don't have big responsibilities yet so the contrast between the words and the big beaming smiles is infectious! I found myself getting quite emotional with this new version, truly smiling with tears in my eyes. I feel like C'est La Vie will become my new comfort song, little strange I know, but thanks to the message behind the words I know that no matter what, there will always be a better day 😊
  3. I dreamt last night that I got to see a Mika concert for free! It started off with someone showing me around a small concert venue before anyone else went in. There were two seated places left and I could look first to see if I wanted them. However the seats had really bad visibility of the stage so I said I'd leave it and didn't take them. When I was looking at the stage though I noticed an air vent right above it, I had this idea of finding where the air vent started so I could crawl through and see Mika without paying! There were some small shops behind the venue and I went round to one of them to work out where the air vent connects to the venue. I eventually found it at the top of a staircase and crawled all the way through! The concert had already started and I was quite happy watching Mika down below, when suddenly I fell through the metal hatch! I fell right next to Mika on the stage (he could have caught me!), he found it hilarious that I'd been hiding up there all along and said I could sit near the stage instead. He reminded me a little bit of Elvis in the dream, Mika was wearing a white suit with a short cape attached and his hair was cut rather short too. It wasn't long though until someone said that guards were coming to check that everyone had a ticket. Mika told me I had to leave and helped me back into the air vent. I crawled back down and went back to the shops and hid amongst other people, luckily the guards never found me! 😁
  4. OK so it looks like FNAC don't do international shipping Which is a shame because I would love the white vinyl! Hoping it might get sold somewhere else in the future!
  5. He was far too orange for that to be natural! πŸ˜… I had a new boiler fitted! (why do they always break down when you need them most?! ) Never again. They were here for 7 1/2 hours! But they did a good job and tidied up after themselves and now I have heating and a digital thermostat that I don't understand yet πŸ˜…
  6. True! The eyeliner he was wearing though, it really made his eyes pop! My day would have been a 1000 times better if the guy turned up dressed like this! 😁 There were actually two guys in my house on Friday. The one with make-up and another with a fake tan. Still not giving context for this...
  7. This site is selling the vinyl, both the blue and standard editions. https://thesoundofvinyl.com/products/que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-store-exclusive-vinyl-lp?_pos=2&_sid=d8ba3aecd&_ss=r
  8. Thanks for sharing @crazyaboutmika do you have an FNAC account? I'm looking to see if they do international shipping but looking at their website I can't seem to find that information. If anyone can let me know that would be appreciated 😊
  9. Had a grown man wearing make-up vacuum my stair case and living room on Friday. It was weird. Lovely. But weird. And I'm not giving any context for this, I'm gonna leave you all guessing!
  10. I only got chance to watch the performance on youtube right before I went to bed. So annoyed that ITV (UK broadcaster) didn't show it! What a show!!! It was wonderful but over all too quickly, I loved the set up with the piano and the children did such a great job. They looked lovely in their suits! And Mika's suit was stunning!
  11. Realising that Mika pretty much took this song and gave it a French twist! https://youtu.be/ydrtF45-y-g?si=O5HZ3TsCEwrN_uf6 Give it a listen. Loudly. At work is best I think
  12. I agree with this too. And also what you say about normalisation of being open about identity, sexuality and sex. So many artists tip toe around the subject, either because they don't feel comfortable opening up or they've been told no. It's actually refreshing to have a song from Mika that's so blatant.
  13. This is purely my own personal preference, but I wouldn't describe the song as explicit myself. Yes, some of the wording can certainly be seen that way but for me the song as a whole isn't. As previously pointed out it's not done in a vulgar way, it's simply conveying that honesty of what making love can accomplish for a relationship and what it feels like between two people. To me the song is very pure and very real, for once I actually think it's a good thing that Mika isn't hiding behind innuendos. It might not carry the same emotional impact as C'est La Vie but it's still very much a "heart on my sleeve" kind of song. I also think the song conveys that balance between what can be negatively thrown at a relationship and the negativity already within a relationship, but it circles back to how two people get through it together. The "Apocalypse" is out there in the world but there's also an "Apocalypse" happening between the lovers (gives me Last Party vibes). As I said before it might not necessarily be the physical side of the relationship that makes things stronger, intimacy doesn't have to just mean sex. It can be just two people standing side by side, supporting each other. Sometimes love IS enough. There's nothing wrong with bringing up the subject of sex in a song and why shouldn't Mika go down this route with AC? He's said time and time again that he's sick of people telling him no, telling him that he can't be his true self. Now he his (although it did also come across in MNIMH) and with this song I actually find it empowering. Referring back to this line especially: "No matter what they think about the consequences, your booty is dancing", Mika doesn't give a damn about the consequences of people seeing that he's in a very umm shall we say fullfilling relationship . Not everyone is going to like this song, either lyrically or musically and there's no right or wrong opinion or interpretation for it either. And that's ok. I'm glad we can discuss our various thoughts about a song here and nothing bad is going to happen if someone says they don't connect to it, we can still be accepting of one another's opinions and that's what I love about MFC! . I'll be honest too, I can relate to the majority of Mika's songs but I think this is the first one where I don't feel a connection with the lyrics. The music has more of an impact on me, I love the softness and the higher beats of the chorus. As long as it gets me dancing then that's good enough for me! I was going to say something along this line too! You've hit the nail on the head there!
  14. Another UK based online store selling the blue vinyl (unsigned and without stickers). They also have the standard vinyl and CD. https://recordstore.co.uk/products/que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-store-exclusive-vinyl-lp?_pos=2&_sid=e806583cf&_ss=r
  15. I am so in love with this song! When I gave it a first listen I thought "ooh this is so soft and calm at the start", then the build up from the pre-chorus to the chorus moves away from calmness into something more stronger and somewhat uplifting. There's power behind those words in the chorus and I love how Mika has just put it all out there without holding back about the subject matter, of course it's about sex and it's very much in your face in the chorus, but I also pick up on the more romantic side of the song. There's that sense of intimacy between two people but it doesn't just have to mean something physical all the time, it's clearly a love song about finding strength in each others love and being able to resist any sh*t that life throws your way. You've worded this so well, I 100% agree! I'm going to be listening to this song on repeat so much today! I needed this β™₯️
  16. Some Japanese music sites selling the album: https://tower.jp/item/6209091/Que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours https://diskunion.net/portal/ct/search?m=2&q=QUE TA TETE FLEURISSE TOUJOURS https://www.hmv.co.jp/artist_MIKA_000000000359683/title_Que-Ta-Tete-Fleurisse-Toujours_14390796/
  17. Merch from the 'Que ta tΓͺte fleurisse toujours' era. Made available from 18/10/2023. CD Standard vinyl Limited edition blue marble vinyl with logo stickers And without stickers White tee with new Mika logo Back of tee with 'Que ta tΓͺte fleurisse toujours' on the back Black crewneck jumper with new logo Blue notebook front Blue notebook back Blue notebook first page I'm sure once people have the physical items in their hot little hands we can share more pictures if what they actually look like here, especially the signed vinyl!
  18. I really hope they will be. I was actually thinking today that it's likely that the merch will be available at some of the tour dates next year, I know that's a long time to wait but usually left over merch from gigs does get added to online stores. I guess it's a matter of just waiting and being patient (which we're good at, y'know being Mika fans... πŸ˜…).
  19. I remember one of the descriptions did use the word 'pre-order' and also said something along the lines of "order may arrive later than expected release date." Yeah right, probably never! Thanks for that, hopefully they'll be removed!
  20. Just want to make people aware of something I've come across on ebay today. Most days I look for Mika merch and today I saw 2 listings for the signed album with the stickers, they were both around the Β£130 mark! (Whereas on Mika's shop the vinyl is €45.99) Without proof I can't actually say if these sellers are scammers but I wouldn't recommend anyone buying from them. They also claim to be UK sellers, which I don't understand because at the minute there's still no shipping to the UK from Mika's French store. So just be warned that just because Mika's album is available to pre-order doesn't mean that all listings on private selling sites are going to be genuine!
  21. Just checked Amazon UK and the album is available to pre-order as a digital download only. I'd be very surprised if they didn't sell physical versions, hopefully they'll be added soon. Couldn't find it yet on HMV. Here are some links to other music shops that are selling his album: https://www.fnac.com/a18667225/Mika-Que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-Exclusivite-Fnac-Vinyle-Blanc-Vinyle-album#int=S:NonApplicable|NonApplicable|NonApplicable|18667225|NonApplicable|L1 This is the bundle with the stickers but I don't think it mentions anything about an autograph: https://musicstation.be/products/que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-store-exclusive-marbled-blue-lp Same applies to this link: https://www.umusic.ca/collections/vinyl/products/que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-lp CD and vinyls here, again no mention of autograph: https://platenzaak.nl/products/que-ta-tete-fleurisse-toujours-cd
  22. Just going back over Mika's post and realising he has MORE surprises on the way!? 😲 He is such a tease! 😁
  23. Just got a translation from someone on X, this is what it says: "It all starts with an idea and at the beginning there is no weak or bad idea. Let it go and may your head bloom." Very true words indeed!
  24. I love the different variations of Mika's logo within the album. With this one below it kinda makes me think of an egg that's just been cracked open and Mika's logo has spilled out! The part above the 'I' looks like an egg shell and the rest of MIKA is the yoke!
