  1. Aww. I love little updates like this… and I hope he will share where he is traveling to next!
  2. Today is Brest!!! I hope he will have all the toys again tonight. In Dublin he said that he was there “naked” without the “toys” and that he had sent them home. I hope they will resurface all in Brest and he can close off the tour in complete style.
  3. Happy belated birthday!! Really? Only MFCers there? How many people were there in total, guesstimated?
  4. I did! And thank youuuu!!! Will post the air piano video as a Reel when I’m at the airport and maybe do a compilation Reel too (you know me). Stay tuned
  5. If that would be the case, then there is something wrong with the world. Whatever the reasoning behind it is and from whom, I think we can all agree that it’s a real shame we don’t hear any songs of MNIMH and QTTFT…
  6. It’s an account that is used for fan-takeovers, so usually there is a different fan for every gig to post stories from the queue, within the venue (merch stand for example) and from the gig itself. Will there be a fan-takeover for London and Dublin, though @dcdeb? Since you will be there, I assume not necessarily? (Although it would be funny to post the same songs from different perspectives )
  7. Best news ever!! I’m so happy for the North American and Asian fans!!!!
  8. Those candidates are all incredible! What a level of talent and skill! I’m so glad they are under Mika’s wing, they can go far also outside of the Voice.
  9. So many cities he hasn’t been to for 12+ years: Berlin, Brighton and now also Dublin. It feels like a come back! A lot has happened in the past 12 years, I hope this will generate more opportunities for him and it won’t take another 12 years to come back to those cities
  10. Thinking about it more - I think it’s actually a smart move to do a setlist with “oldies” in the UK. He hasn’t been there for the longest time (outside of London, besides performing at Cheltenham Jazz last year) and I think it’s a good move to get reacquainted with the UK audience. Once he will have a new predominantly English album out in the future, I’m sure he will benefit from it. Also, looking at the concert videos from the last two shows; he is having a really good time and so is the audience! That is what matters!
  11. I was totally off, he wanted to include it in the setlist for the non-francophone countries anyway I love the songs live, I prefer them over the studio version. (Actually, to be honest, I prefer all of his songs live ) Now seeing that he doesn’t include his new French songs in the current setlist for the UK/Ireland of the tour, makes it extra special he included Jane Birkin in Berlin. And the reception by the German audience was amazing!! I hope he will include it in London though, after all, Jane Birkin was born in London! It’s like bringing her home in such a poetic way ❤️
  12. Thank you Gabry, I always enjoy your videos and photos, they perfectly sum it up!! Do you maybe have a longer clip of Billy Brown? I particularly enjoyed that song along with Jane Birkin, but I didn’t film. Thank you 🙏
  13. I’ve been to the Zenith de Strasbourg 3 weeks prior and I didn’t feel I had to wear ear protection (although I probably should have, haha!). With Amsterdam, Brussels and Berlin I did, it was MUCH louder, although all three venues have a smaller capacity than Strasbourg… or maybe that’s the reason why, the sound was calculated for larger venues. In Brussels my friend told me that she couldn’t hear Mika speak during the first songs and Mika seemed to communicate with his sound technician (in Italian, which was a very funny moment, calling him his “sweetie banana” in the end ) to fix it. I had however no problem hearing him speak. The only difference between her and me was that I had ear protection in, which reduces up to 20+ decibel. So in that particular moment I don’t think people couldn’t hear him because the sound wasn’t on, I think because it was way too loud and therefore not balanced. The security was very reliable, strict and I have encountered moments where they were friendly, but also incredibly unfriendly. (For example when we were waiting outside for Mika at the back exit and his trucks needed room - they were very rude to my friend in a wheelchair who can’t just “roll away”, especially since people were not backing up quickly enough and she didn’t have room to move out of the way. That moment deserved more understanding, patience and consideration from security staff’s side). Location was great, pretty much in the middle of the city! Which is great if you are looking for something to eat.
  14. Did he sing Jane Birkin? Or C‘est La Vie with the big Club Apocalypse (was it there?)?
  15. Question, does anyone have a recording from Billy Brown from (close to) front row for me? I LOVE this song, especially in Berlin, and I didn’t record anything at all…. just sang my heart out ❤️
  16. My thoughts exactly Unfortunately, you’re very right. This comes from a Dutch person living in Germany!
  17. Oh yeah, Adam asked Bea and me to mine and dance to Elle Me Dit before the show started in Berlin….but we couldn’t hear any of it! So we had no idea if we nailed it! But we did kind of
