  1. Hey Everyone! I finally got around to writing a review of the London concert. It's going to be quite long, sorry in advance. First time flying, my first time in London, and my first time going to a Mika concert, even though I've been listening to his songs for at least 15 years, I'm just not the concert-going type. So I got a lot of impulses in these few days. The flight was interesting, but unfortunately, my ears hurt a lot when I landed, so flying won't be my favourite, but luckily it wasn't a long flight. London was very nice, although I didn't feel like I was in London at all, it was like being in Budapest, at home. I don't know why that was. The first day was a rush, I arrived at 9:30 in the morning, dropped my stuff off at my accommodation, and then went sightseeing. I saw the TARDIS (the time machine from the Doctor Who series) at Earl's Court station, 221b Baker Street from Sherlock Holmes, the Harry Potter platform at King's Cross Station, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the London Eye, St James Park, and I think that was all I could fit in because I was rushing back to the hotel to get to the Mika Fan Club party. The Mika Fan Club party was great! I had a blast, it was nice that almost everyone was talking to everyone, and that we all danced and sang along to Mika songs. There were also lots of videos, I hope that they can be collected somewhere so we can watch them again. Thanks a lot to @JojoGrape and @sarahel for the company and all the help during the concert. It was a pleasure to meet you all, @Prisca, @dcdeb, and many more people whose usernames I, unfortunately, can't remember (e.g. Eden and Alice and many more). And then the concert! I'll start with the cons first: - we went to the queque at 3pm, but I could barely stand and dance during the concert, and after that, I could barely walk home from the concert (I was wearing high heel boots the whole time), so all my respect goes to those of you who were in line from the morning. You are heroes. I couldn't do it. Next time I think I'll just go an hour earlier and have a place anywhere, but at least I'll be more rested. - this mobile ticket thing was not convenient at all. We had a hard time getting in, took our places (in the 4th row), and I naively decided to take my coat to the cloakroom. However, the cloakroom was completely outside and I was told by the ticket takers that if I wanted to come back, I would have to show my ticket again. However, I had logged out of the app by then and it would not let me back in. If I take one more step, I can't go back to the concert. After that, I made my way back to the 4th row through the crowd, where everyone looked at me like I was some kind of pariah, even though I wasn't pushing, I was already there earlier, waited my turn, just went to take my jacket off. But the only way I found the others was to call Sarahel on messenger asking her to put her hand up because I couldn't find my way back to them So the point I'm trying to make is that the venue was not well organised, it didn't go smoothly, and it could have been better. This is obviously Eventim Apollo's fault, not Mika's. Mika is amazing! That's it for the cons. and now the Pros: - Mika was fantastic! I could barely stand by the time he came on stage, but he still managed to get me jumping and dancing almost the whole time. He was a real showman, dominating the stage and keeping in touch with the audience. I was looking forward to Big Girl precisely because I liked the way he danced and sang amongst the audience, at least making eye contact with everyone. - I knew he would sing Underwater, but it was a special treat to hear him sing it live, as it is my ultimate favourite song of his. Of course, I love almost all his songs, but this is number one for me. - The caged Mika on stage was also very fitting, as he bursts out of his cage to start the whole evening and then creates a party atmosphere within seconds. Overall the visuals, the stage elements, and of course Mika were phenomenal. I was part of a real party of five thousand people, and it never occurred to me that I don't like being in a crowd like that. The concert flew by very quickly and then it was sadly over. - I usually think of Mika as a "friend", or as a "friendly face", not as a man, but I had to admit that he is much more handsome and cute in person than in the videos. He has such genuine charisma. - I would like to go to other Mika concerts as well. But next time I won't insist on London, so maybe I won't have to wait so long. :-) Well, I guess that's it. I'm glad I went, it was a very busy few days, and thanks again for letting me be part of the MFC party. I hope to see you next time too! Hugs to you all!
  2. I'd like to see those videos as well. I hope we can collect all of them somewhere. I don't know if it is possible at all. But that Monday was amazing, all of you are amazing!
  3. I've never been to London before, but you can try the National Express (https://www.nationalexpress.com/en). There are buses from Gatwick to Hammersmith.
  4. Thank you. I thought the fanny pack was fine because of this particular sentence. A thousand thanks for the reassurance!
  5. One more question. :-) I read on the Eventim Apollo website that you are not allowed to bring backpacks (which I have) and larger bags to the concert. Can I go in with a normal fanny pack? That's a small bag, so I think so, but I'm not sure. I wouldn't want to bring a side bag, that's travelling with three different bags...
  6. In the meantime I realised that the website on my phone browser was somehow US ( even though I'm from Hungary), so I changed it to the UK, and my ticket appeared :-)) (That's why I deleted my previous post.) But thank you for the reassurance about the printed ticket. It calmed down my anxiety. Thanks a million! :-)
  7. It will be my first time in London as well, and I'm also traveling alone. So I'm looking forward to meeting all of you :-))
  8. Thank you for explaining this to me in more detail. It's nice to hear that I don't have to queue for that long and respect for you and all the fans who had been there since the middle of the night on previous occasions.
  9. Queueing from the morning?? It's the first time for me in London and to a Mika concert, I knew I have to be in line for a few hours earlier, but not from the morning.
  10. Hi Deb! Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it! Yes, I'll be in London on the 8th, so I'll definitely be at the MFC meeting, I've indicated my intention in the appropriate thread as you asked. I'm curious about the queue, I guess we won't be there in the morning for that, right? But from sometime in the afternoon? I'll keep an eye on the forum to see who thinks what (when to go), and try to adapt :-) I'll introduce myself to you (if nothing else, then at the MFC meeting), at least I'll practice my English a bit, unfortunately, I rarely use it orally, so it will be harder at first. I am very excited and looking forward to it! Thanks again for your help, Deb! You're the best! :-)
  11. I'm more and more excited and can't wait to go to London , but I have a few questions I've been thinking about a lot lately. Maybe someone can help me. 1) Will there be a fan club meeting on Tuesday, perhaps? 2) I will be staying at the [redacted] (Hammersmith). I am going to the concert alone, can I join someone? I've never been to London before, so I wouldn't want to be wandering around on my own in the evening (especially after the concert), and it would be nice to meet you all. 3) How much time do you suggest I (we) should go there (before the concert) to queue (I have a standing stall ticket)? Thank you for taking the time to read my questions. I greatly appreciate it!
  12. Szia!
  13. Most mindig quote-tal fogok válaszolni, hogy biztos kapjunk róla értesítést. :-) Igen, sikerült vennem jegyet a tegnapi presale-n, úgyhogy tökre izgatott vagyok. Viszont a repjegyek nagyon drágák, most azokat nézegetem. Te jössz esetleg Londonba? Vagy nem terveztél?
  14. Hey! Szia! :-)
  15. Thanks for this gossip, now I refresh all of Mika's social media every two minutes hoping it's true
  16. My favorite was Sailor Moon because I liked her hair. :-) But Mercury was cute too. I remember many people liked Sailor Venus more than the others.
  17. A few days ago I read the book "Cinder" by Marissa Meyer which made me remember Sailor Moon a bit. So I started to watch videos about Sailor Moon on youtube, and one of them had familiar music. At first, I just thought I knew this song but I don't know how, but when the lyrics came "Stardust in your eyes", I slapped my face. To understand my confusion, it was not Mika singing but a woman.
  18. The second version is from youtube or have you uploaded it here? How can I watch (and share from) Youtube? If it is possible that is :-))) Sorry if I ask something silly, I don't know much about these things. :-)
  19. I don't remember when I got bored with Agents of Shield, but even later on they had episodes I enjoyed (like the ones with the androids and stuff. I had a thing for androids and time travel or dimension travel ).I watched the first season of the Mandalorian, and I didn't get hooked but I'm not a huge Star Wars fan either (and no, that's not sci-fi despite what most people think ). I tried time and time again but it was not for me somehow.BSG has a sublime tone to it, and very deep and most of the time depressing but it is like a dark poem, it's beautiful. (It is actually an Exodus story.) I hope you'll like it.I really liked the Originals too, and the Vampire Diaries, but yes, TVD is not dark at all (especially from the early seasons), but it was fast-paced, I enjoyed it.I don't really watch horror shows, but if the Originals count as one, then you should watch The Boys too. It is a superhero show but very violent so brace yourself. :-)
  20. When I first watched BSG, I started with the miniseries (which is the 0. episode of the first season), and I didn't like it either. But then a few years later I watched the first episode of the first season (title: "33") and instantly got hooked. That episode is one of the best of BSG. The Cylons are attacking the people every 33 minutes. They haven't slept for a week and the pilots are on pills to stay awake. Very well made. :-)
  21. I watched His Dark Materials, not my favourite to be honest, but it's very well made and coincidentally I will refer to it when I will start looking for a literary agent for my fantasy novel because there are similarities between the two (mostly that there are many worlds in them). Literary agents want authors to point out a few other novels which have similarities to yours, so they can place it in their minds. I liked Agents of Shield if you were talking about that (I know there is another show called Shields but I don't know what it is about, I didn't watch that). My favourite shows are mostly sci-fi: Battlestar Galactica is my ultimate favourite, I don't think that has ever been or ever will be another so perfect and beautifully written and acted television show like BSG. But I like Dark Matter, Humans, Misfits, Stargate: Atlantis, Sherlock (BBC, written by: Steven Moffat), Doctor Who (episodes and seasons written by: Moffat), "You, Me and the Apocalypse" and other non sci-fi shows like The Good Wife, Brooklyn 99 etc.
  22. I don't remember exactly what happened in series 4, I just noted to myself, that from that I didn't like it that much than before. I think Grant Gustin is the best Flash. :-) I'm always in the right mood for Running home to you. It's a beautiful song. :-) What other series (TV Show) do you like?
  23. I re-watched the Flash last summer, it was good until about the 4th season maybe. The first three seasons were really great, especially Savitar. And later on in the musical episode, I liked the song "Running home to you". :-)
  24. Yes, there is a link to that page on Instagram too. But the page itself is part of the website, I think, but I'm not sure.
