  1. Hi there, So I've chosen a slightly different route in my literature coursework, and have decided to look at some of Mika's lyrics and argue their subjective place into the literary canon (this part doesn't really matter). What is a struggle when choosing to analyse relatively modern song lyrics is finding a wide range of interpretations of them, as you might with poetry. I'm hoping some of you wouldn't mind taking the time to just share your opinions on the music as a whole, or even your perceptions of the artist in question or any song you'd like, as everything would be helpful and I still am not exactly sure which songs I'll choose to analyse, but if you particularly have any thoughts you could share with me at the moment on one of these tracks: Blue, Promiseland, Tiny Love or Paloma, that would also be appreciated. A large part of what I want to include in my argument is to do with a people's opinion on music, as it is such an accessible but beautiful thing which in my opinion which allows something poetic to be delivered to an any audience, regardless of wealth or place in society as a person: mundane, ordinary people who can connect with it, contrastingly to the historical reservedness of poetry within elite society. Sorry, for the waffle, what can I say, I take literature for God's sake. Anyway thanks in advance to anyone who might respond.
