Soooooooooo... Me llamo Tierney. For all you non-south-of-the-border folks, that means 'I call myself Tierney.'

Now that we've covered the basics, let's move onto how I became aware of Mika, shall we? It all started with an article that the love of my life wrote in our school newspaper (granted, I am not the love of his life, but I digress). It was completely about Mika and considering that said boy and I have the same music tastes, I was determined to check this Mika person out.

Unfortunately, this article came out right at the same time that midterms were occuring, so the whole listening-to-Mika-and-hoping-that-I-like-him-to-impress-my-crush thing slipped my mind. Luckily for me, however, I have more than one friend.

I was spending the night with my major amiga (best friend) when she said 'have you ever heard of Mika?' I had, via that newspaper article, and I forced her to let me listen to him on her iPod.

Needless to say, she did not get her iPod back for the rest of the night.

Since then, I've been hooked. Although I am up to par with the love of my life, I enjoy Mika a great deal more than my best friend does. Matter-of-fact, I had a very heated argument with mentioned best friend over how to pronounce the name 'Mika.' Of course I was right, having actually listened to more than two songs of his and also having viewed an interview or two (or thirty). However, she doubted my genius and I had to wrestle her to the floor in order to convince her to watch just the beginning of a certain interview where Mika says, "Hi, I'm Mika." We both came out bruised. It was worth it, though, because I (once again) proved her wrong.

Once again, mi nombre es Tierney; see you all soon.
