Dear Mika,

This is a petition, signed (via mail and email) by Mika fans from all over the world,

asking that MikaFanClub be made your official fan club.

We have a fast growing, and very active forum. On any given day there are an average

of 80 people online during the day, with more on in the evening.

On Sunday 21st October, at 13.55, there were 4 people on Mikasounds, whilst at

the same time there were 85 on the MikaFanClub. All time best figures for Mikasounds

are 27, whilst on MFC it is 734! We have a membership of 7583, which is growing

daily!!

Mikasounds works well as a landing page and portfolio for Mika the artist, but

in terms of community and interaction, MFC is vastly ahead, and every Mika fan

we have spoken to would like to keep it that way.

Our forum is alive and exciting, with many friendships formed, and various projects

ongoing. A good example of this spirit is in the Concert thread. MFC people at

your gigs text others who are at home, and they post the texts, keeping everyone on

the forum up-to-date with the concert. It means that even the concerts in different

countries, or that we can't attend, we still feel part of it. The atmosphere on those

nights is amazing - given that it's lots of individuals, spread all over the world, sitting

at their computers!! :-)

Deano and Mikablog own our website, and run it efficiently, with the help of five

Moderators, who keep things as free as possible, but also safe and fun for the

younger fans. The fan club is a non-profit site, and any revenue goes towards the

large hosting costs.

It would mean a lot to us to be considered as your Official fan club. Some members had

questioned as to how us becoming official would affect Mikasounds, but as Deano pointed out -

some artists have an official artists website, and a separate fanclub. He also pointed out

that being official does NOT mean more money, but that it would provide publicity for

MFC, allow us to do exclusive competitions, and occassional interviews with you.

In conclusion, we would like to say thank you for the love, friendship and appreciation that

we share through your music - and through the great team spirit that is evident between

you and your band members.
