RAK1
I was lucky enough this evening, to have got to see Imogens film about the making of Ellipse. It was the UK premiere (the US premiere is on the 20th of this month, in New York), and it was shown at the first British cinema, that showed the first ever moving picture by the Illuminati brothers. The film is amazing, Imogens passion for music is so evident in it, it's inspiring. It starts when she has to have the demos ready to go to be mastered, which they are not. It then flashes back to when she first began writing Ellipse, while she was travelling after the last album was done. It's a 3 year journey, and quite a fascinating one, as she moves into a new place, and bulids a new studio at the same time, talk about multi tasking, and proceeds to tell the story of how an album is created. If you are a budding musician, this is a must see, as it tells of the highs and lows of creating a masterpiece. She has some very competent musicians playing on the album, they all have different talents and energies, which makes the songs stand out in their own way. At the end Imogen treated us to a version of First Train Home on an old cinema organ, complete with sound effects! She is a lovely lady, and extremely talented. It's released here on November 1st, not sure what format though, possibly dvd. But I encourage everyone to see it, it's totally worth it:thumb_yello: Edited October 15, 2010 by RAK1

RAK1
Great review Rose. Was she playing live at the theatre last night? Just love her. She did indeed play it live at the theatre, it was a very striking yellow organ. The sound effects on it were hilarious. It's got a train horn on it, which Imogen couldn't resist using at the end of the song, ha ha!

A. Clay
Imogen Heap performs on stage during day three of the Bluesfest Music Festival at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm on 23 April 2011 in Byron Bay, Australia. 'Imogen Heap is a Grammy winning British multi-instrumentalist and composer who has spent six weeks in China creating a musical piece from sounds around her; leaves rustling, birds tweeting, doors slamming. She tells us how it came about.' http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00skmsz Edited June 6, 2012 by A. Clay
