dcdeb
Edward Scissor Hands was one of my favorite. I love the 80's! How could anyone not love Edward Scissorhands!? The best. I just bought it on DVD -- but it actually was 1990... so it almost counts -- definitely had an '80s feel to it!... dcdeb

My friends are sick of me putting on songs from the 80s at every party ... One of my fav: The Buggles: Video killed the radio stars!
Suzy
I think leg warmers are back en vogue. I could certainly use them this winter as my ankles are bothering me already (now this ailment just confirms how old I really am getting now)
Blue
Leg warmers are definitely back. I saw them advertised a few times lately. I remember the summer of '84. I remember it very well because I was staying at my aunt and uncle's house for the holidays, the Olympics were on tv and they had cable tv at home (which impressed me, we didn't have that yet). It was quite a hot summer, but I was running around in pink trousers with even more pink leg warmers - I was 10 years old at the time.
Suzy
Leg warmers in the summer! Ha! I remember wearing plastic "jelly" shoes in the hot summer with stirrup pants and my feet being so sticky...
dcdeb
Found and resurrected, as threatened, Diana My latest '80s moments -- hearing Blondie and Devo tunes used as commercials for cleaning products! How *could* they? Just because they think that all the '80s girls are now '00s middle-aged moms more concerned with cleaning and running households than dancing and singing??? dcdeb
sariflor
Oooh, what a great thread! I had such a laugh reading through it... Born in 71, I'm a true 80's kid...I remember it all very vividly. Most things (both good like the music, and atrocious like the fashion) have already been mentioned, but I clearly seem to remember getting super excited when the first music videos ("video clips") came out, and when video recorders came out...Also had a few terrible perms, when in fact my hair is naturally wavy already!! Oh and did I mention that I permed my hair but left my fringe straight? Pathetic. Those stirrup pants were truly horrific, as were the Tshirts with gigantic shoulder pads, which I'd wear even to the swimming pool:naughty: Oh gosh, sweet memories.... HollyD
Aaaahhhh! I was born in 77' *I was 6 when Meeks came into the world* I remember HOW MUCH fun all of the teenagers use to have - and being SO jealous!!!!! My brothers were over 12 years OLDER than me - so by the time I 'knew anything' they were teenagers and going to the drive-in and always partying like it was 1999. The 80's had the BEST music hands down - that is why it is still alive and kicking to this very day!!!
