REBEKA
So except me, from Slovakia there are just these 3 girls on MFC, and I found out that they are all from one family: 2 sisters and their cousin. I wonder if they have some mika-gene running in their family? Are you - or do you you know about - some other families in which 2 or more people are fond of MIKa and his music? We had some family reunion some time ago in a restaurant and they were playing MIKa.. and I asked my cousin of which I thought 'maybe she likes it?' if she likes it and she said "what? this nasty englishman??" I wanted to tease her a bit so I said "not so much englisman - he is lebanonian." To which she replied some ugly interjections.. FYI in our family 'lebanonian' is kind of an insult, a bad word.. So no mika-gene in our family )-:
CallieFornia
If you don't mind me asking (out of curiousity) why would your family think it an insult to be from Lebanon?

lcmlcm
u should teach her first....it's not right.... it's a discrimination:mf_rosetinted: like white ppl discrimate black ppl.... western ppl discrimate asian ppl... and our place discrimate middle east ppl.....some example... but why yr family would think being Lebanon is a insult? and i dun have mika-gene running in my family...even they dun know who is him.... no wonder...they even dun know who is britney....lol my cousin only knows avril...lol and i tell my fdd thousand times about mika next time i talk about him, they are like..."who is him?" but when i help my mother with some ringtones, some canto pop, international pop, jp pop, kr pop...u know what she choose, it's lollipop...... REBEKA
If you don't mind me asking (out of curiousity) why would your family think it an insult to be from Lebanon? Maybe I overdramatised it, but in short, we have half family living in Israel and you watch TV, don`t you. Of course I know it doesn`t have anything to do with Mika. Some people simply have stereotypes and personalise a country with its politics in all its inhabitants and it is not correct.
