matteo
Hello friends! Tomorrow I will be with my girlfriend at Brixton Academy for the concert (we are italians). My question is: Do you know at what is the exact time of the beginning? (in the ticket is indicated 7.00PM but I think that will start later...or not?) Is there any suppporting group or singer before Mika's show? What time will finish the concert (about)? Thanks so much! Bye bye Matteo

matteo
We'll arrive at Luton Airport tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock (at midday we'll be in the center of London). We plan to get for a walk until 5PM and the go to Brixton. Because we have the return flight very early in the morning we must to take the bus from Victoria to Luton at 1.30AM. Can you suggest a good place to stay for a couple of hours to eat and drink something between 11.00PM and 1.00AM (in Brixton or in the city center (we'd like to get possibly in a pub, but I know that the pubs normally close early...) Erroll
so matteo i suggest you hop on a bus straight after the concert get to Victoria, and as you look at the rail station from the outside, take the left hand road running down the side, you will find a JD Weatherspoons pub open late, and you will be only ten minute walk away from Victoria Coach Station, and ps are u goin fancy dress ? ime goin as a bus driver, cos i am goin to concert straight from work !! (get a bus from Brixton rather than a tube, u meet a more interesting type of wierdo !!)
matteo
Thanks a lot Erroll for your suggestion! I think that we will follow it! ;-) I think that a good fish 'n chips + beer is the best way to spend our time! :-) About the fancy dress your idea is fantastic! (so, are you an original London bus driver??? Your category is very popular in my country!!!). My only problem is to go aboard the airplane dressed as something strange...but maybe could be funny!!! I can only imagine the glance of the hostess and the customs officers... hihihihi!!! But, anyway, tonight I'll try to find something unique in my wardrobe... Do you suggest to reach the Brixton Academy some hours before 7.00?

Marilyn Mastin
I'm looking forward to it! It will be my first time seeing Mika live in concert! I'm just a bit concerned about the queueing, about needing the loo or something. I've bought folding camping stools to sit on in the queue, as both my husband and myself can't stand for long. But it's bound to be a great atmosphere and i'm sure the time waiting will go very quickly.

What the others did yesterday was numbered people's hands when they arrived - so you could wander round and talk to people, go to the toilet, get food etc and not loose your place in the queue Make sure you get a number. Oh, thank you so much for that info *sighs with relief*. The fact is, both my husband and me have disabilities. We can walk etc, but not stand, and we both tire easily. I thought people would only queue up in the last hour. I was very naive. When I was told by someone on the forum, that people would be queueing very early, I was quite concerned. We bought the folding chairs to sit on. But now I am greatly relieved to know about the numbers system, because it means we can chill out, make sure we get something to eat before the concert, so we can enjoy the experience of seeing Mika. I have a friend in a wheelchair who is very envious of me, and I've been thinking a lot about that. About the fact that Mika could easilly have disabled fans who have every right to be able to see him live. The organisers need to have that in mind, so they do make it possible for all of his fans to be able to see him, without stressing out about the mechanics of it all. pinkunicorn123
Well we have two members (to my knowledge at least) who are known to bring wheelchairs along. But folding chairs are acceptable in queues. What you will also need is a bike chain to put them somewhere once people start standing and queuing in the literal sense, instead of sitting and wasting time. A few girls have done it for a few concerts now so as long as they are out of sight and locked up, they should be okay as you cant bring them in. I would suggest you bring something warm e.g. blankets as you will be in a alley way in the 'shade' meaning - its cold!

(ignore if u have already been told ) Circle Unreserved seating: means you will be in the seated circle area, on the top level of the venue (over the stalls) I was there last time, you get a good overview of the stage:) I think there is some standing at the back, but there is more chace of a seat.
