I've been a big fan of Mika for over year now, purchasing "Life in Cartoon Motion" the very day that it came out and disgustingly obsessing over him on the countless amount of other networking websites that are abundant here on the interweb. It's nice to have a place where you know that EVERYONE loves the band (and the man), and you don't have to look too far to find a hardcore fan. Despite the fact that I have been registered on this website for almost a year, I really haven't done much but go to the many photos of Mika and enjoy them each time I decide to come back here. BUT i could not take this name for the mfc, because somebody here is already called greta... (joke... ) well...i'm from germany and so my english is not the best, i think...but i'm trying my best... i'm already mikafan some month and a member in the german mikafanclub. i noticed mika first in a tv-show and i was enthusiastic about this great guy! mikaaa... any questions? I ve done this as recently there has been some concerns expressed by new members that it can be quite hard to fit it here and make friends when you first join. So after checking with the mods to see what they thought about the idea, i am here! I have set this thread up primarily to be a place where new members can come to talk with other newbies and make friendships, its sorta the newbie home. Its also a place that if you as a newbie have any questions or worries you can post them and i will help out as much as i can or if i cant i can pass you on to someone else who can. Dont forget to start a thread introducing yourself in the introductions and goodbyes forum so everyone can say hello! So enjoy posting away and getting to know other newbies! I found it really hard to fit in, and to understand how the forum actually works. There are still things I don't know, like the multi-posts, where you quote more than one person. It also took me ages to realise that when you post in a thread, it goes onto your account. When I realised, I had to delete about 300 threads!!! It also took me ages to figure out how to do a signature, get my avator, and put my mikamama bit under my avator. So, I think there should be help with the technical stuff available, especially since some of Mika's fans are like me... Old and past it where computers are concerned. Mainly though, new people just need to fit in, and feel that their opinions count, and new members can bring exciting new things to the fan club, if they are given the chance. Ninja_kelly Posted July 8, 2008 Share Posted July 8, 2008 good evening!!! i just came home from the concert in Amsterdam, it was fantastic. my name is kelly, im 16 years old and i live in Rijnsburg, thats near Leiden.. a mother of a girl named Linde?? told me there was a mika fan club site, so thats te reason i made myself a member of this site. ^^ by the way, the concert was great!!!! almost, álmost in front! there was one person and a security guy in my way to shake mikas hand hahaha just kiddin. People sometimes say that they can see who the "guests" are (as shown in the numbers on the homepage). Does this mean that if I view the site without logging in, that everyone can see my defautl email address and therefore my full name? And how do I see them? (I guess I should ask that in the tech thread?) Also (and I realise I'm beginning to sound paranoid here), I think it was in the blog thread that someone asked if Mika, as site owner, could read PMs, and Christine(I think) replied that as he needed help registering on his own site (or something- I remember that she helped him) we needn't worry. The way she said it, it sounded as if they could be read if you knew how. Can/ do mods read PM? Not that I'm planning on saying anything incriminating.
