paula.pop
Ok guys,I am not saying it's official cause I have no confirmation: one of my mates (who has backstage pass for Glastonbury and was involved in organizing it) claims she knows that Mika will be there. As I've said I can't say it's 100% true,he might only be there as a guest or not at all but I thought I would let you know.

dcdeb
Well, I suppose it's *possible* -- there are a couple open slots marked "Very Special Guest" in the line-up. http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/performance.aspx?id=2179 But to tell the truth, it's an incredible list of talent this year -- if I were in the UK I'd be tempted, as much as I don't like festivals, really. But everyone from the Ting Tings to the Proclaimers to Luka Bloom to Mark Ronson to Leonard Cohen to Manu Chao to GILBERT O'SULLIVAN? Oh, all that would be worth seeing, even without Mika! dcdeb

The thing is Mika did most of the big festivals in the UK last year and up until the end of Feb, his set hasn't changed that much. IMO, he certainly couldn't go to the same UK festivals playing the same set, he would be crucified. Perhaps that's why he's not doing them? Unless he has a new set up his sleeves? I am eagerly awaiting Paris. Well....not really.

avoca
So many interesting and talented artists and no Mika this year!I just don't get it! glansto is a huge festival, usually big names play there. But he was at Glastonbury last year, wasn't he? In which festival where you? *tries not to bring up topic* *Fails* big chill I actually think he'll use the summer dates already confirmed to try some new things for the next album/stage show. not a whole new show but some experiments. the way i see it o.c. Jazzy
I asked him if he was playing Glastonbury after Brixton on the 28th and he said 'no not this year' but the situation may have changed since then, although I doubt it, he's a big name, he would have been announced by now. That's two years in a row now that there's been a really solid lineup. I vote that next year we have an MFC meetup at Glastonbury. And I suppose if that Mika kid wants to join us, he can - but we'll be too busy playing in the mud to care either way.
jemmalee
FYI you can't but glasto tickets any more for this year, it's too late. You needed to register earlier on this year and then buy your ticket. I didn't bother registering this year cos I didn't think he would be there. I am also a princess and don't do roughing it. I can't bear anywhere where I can't plug my straighteners in:naughty: But thats another story ......

I can't bear anywhere where I can't plug my straighteners in:naughty: But thats another story ...... I didn't register this year either, but because of lack of cash more than anything. But I think, because tickets didn't sell out, registration was opened up again, on the website it still has the registration details up,which after the sell out last year, they came off. So I think you can still get tickets even now. Was thinking about it, as Groove Armada and Fatboy Slim are headlining, but don't know that I will now. If Mika does turn up, it'll be because The Gossip are playing on the Friday, on the Pyramid Stage. And if he wants, he's quite welcome to pop in for a cuppa on his way back home, it's not that far from where I live to Glastonbury:wink2:.

My sister's going to the V festival too, and if I'm not mistaken she has VIP tickets, so I'll be really jealous if he does perform there again.
