sariflor Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Hellooo fine and kind people of MFC! I saw today that Yelle is doing a gig in London this Wednesday, and I'm considering going, as there still seem to be tickets available for it. I thought that maybe some other Mika fans would be interested? The gig is at Proud Gallery, Camden, and it all starts at 7 pm. Not quite sure around what time Yelle will be on, as there seems to be a support act, and some DJ's as well, and the whole thing ends at 2 am. Hopefully they wouldn't leave Yelle for the end though:naughty:. The tix are 10 squid and available from here: www.ticketweb.co.uk So are any of the Londoners interested? (I suppose that I could throw in there that there may always be the very slight possibility of a certain curly-haired guy going to check her out...) :roftl:Am I tempting anyone then?
Hevthehampster Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 hmm....sounds interesting, but i have a biology exam on wednesday and its my g-dads birthday.....so i wont be able to go - also i have never heard of yelle!!!!!
hotdlp Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Damn, I'm seeing Scouting For Girls then Oh man, that last bit of your post made it even more tempting to go forget about SFG and go to see Yelle instead Oh this sucks
sariflor Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 hmm....sounds interesting, but i have a biology exam on wednesday and its my g-dads birthday.....so i wont be able to go - also i have never heard of yelle!!!!! You haven't heard of Yelle? *tsk* tsk* (Mika's support for oh-so-many of the Mika gigs this past winter:naughty:) She's good! Good fun and very vibey. Definitely worth seeing live! Damn, I'm seeing Scouting For Girls then Oh man, that last bit of your post made it even more tempting to go forget about SFG and go to see Yelle instead Oh this sucks Oh no, that is a real shame I think that you may need to look into swapping your tick for SFG for another day:fisch:...you know that you can do that in ticketmaster, right? And that is exactly the reason why I wrote it there
elise_xx Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Damn. I got really excited until I realized something : I don't live in London.
hotdlp Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Oh no, that is a real shame I think that you may need to look into swapping your tick for SFG for another day:fisch:...you know that you can do that in ticketmaster, right? Really!? You can!? Oh man, that's dangerous telling me these kind of things But my friend is coming to sleepover on Wednesday, and I guess it'll be too much hassle to change the dates and all *sigh* I hope she comes back to London again soon.
sariflor Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 Damn. I got really excited until I realized something : I don't live in London. Hm...I suppose that it all depends on how far from London you are then?
IngievV Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 The last sentence made it tempting, but unfortunately I can't cross a sea for that:naughty:
elise_xx Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Hm...I suppose that it all depends on how far from London you are then? The netherlands + no money for a ticket = no yelle for me
sariflor Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 The last sentence made it tempting, but unfortunately I can't cross a sea for that:naughty: haha, another one that fell for it Now seriously guys, Yelle herself is totally worth it, and a small venue.......come on!
IngievV Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 haha, another one that fell for it Now seriously guys, Yelle herself is totally worth it, and a small venue.......come on! Je veux te voir dans un film pornograpique:mf_rosetinted: I wasn't totally impressed by her to be honest:blink: I always enjoyed her as a support act, much more than Palladium in fact (I am SO gonna be killed bnow by all the keen Palladiumers)
hotdlp Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 I always enjoyed her as a support act, much more than Palladium in fact (I am SO gonna be killed bnow by all the keen Palladiumers) I agree, much better than Palladium.. (yes I do realise I'm risking my life here as well )
sariflor Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 I agree, much better than Palladium.. (yes I do realise I'm risking my life here as well ) We're going to be martyrs... Everything for the cause! (I know that it's not a competition, but I can't help but compare them, as they've been support at most Mika gigs I went to)
musicfreak Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 aww and i'm even wearing my Yelle shirt that i made:thumb_yello: too bad i live in US:thumbdown: stupid atlantic ocean, why do you havta seperate me and Mika and Yelle:thumbdown: well i hope you have lots of fun w/o me!

sienna Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Damn. I got really excited until I realized something : I don't live in London. The Londoners have no idea how lucky they are sometimes! I always enjoyed her as a support act, much more than Palladium in fact (I am SO gonna be killed bnow by all the keen Palladiumers) Yeah, better watch behind your back! I saw them for the first time at Hammersmith in February and if I wasn't such a polite person I would say something witty about them!

I wish I was there!
IngievV Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I always enjoyed her as a support act, much more than Palladium in fact (I am SO gonna be killed bnow by all the keen Palladiumers) Never seen Palladium either:naughty: I did like Alphabeat a lot though:wub2:
Christine Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 So are any of the Londoners interested? (I suppose that I could throw in there that there may always be the very slight possibility of a certain curly-haired guy going to check her out...) :roftl:Am I tempting anyone then? Nice try. Luke didn't even show up to see Ross Copperman so that seems unlikely. Yelle was great in a small venue though. It was like a mini Mika concert. I like Palladium but think they work better on a big stage.
Louiza Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Yelle was great in a small venue though. It was like a mini Mika concert. I like Palladium but think they work better on a big stage. who do you like best palladium or yelle?
elise_xx Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I didn't like Yelle that much when she was supporting for mika, cause I didn't now her songs yet but after the gig I started listening to her songs and thats when I really started liking her.. ( same thing with alphabeat, though I like them more then Yelle )
sariflor Posted May 21, 2008 Author Posted May 21, 2008 I never saw Alphabeat but I'd love to...Unfortunately they are playing in June in London on a day when I will be out of the country I quite liked Yelle from the first time I saw her doing the support for Mika cause she's very bouncy and funny on stage, and I find the music quite "fun", and I'm looking forward to tonight! Danika...enjoy SFG!! I also wish I could see them!!
