LadyGodiva
We have a wide rang of people on the boards. Many different ages and from different parts of the world. Some tend to be more experienced in life than others. I've been thinking that it would be nice if we share little tips with each other which we’ve learned over the years. Share your life lessons, hopefully I can add the good ones to the front page =] Words of Wisdom -Never go shopping when you’re hungry. -Always listen to the song before you watch the music video. -Unfortunately, parents are usually right in the end. -Music and family are the two things that have always been there. -Never touch the restroom door handle. -You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat the wait staff **lalalalaMikaisanexceptionlalalala** -Never drink orange juice after brushing your teeth. -Dont cry because its over... smile because it happened -Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things. -Expenses rise to meet income. -Always assume people are stupid. -Buy two of everything because sooner or later they'll discontinue it. mandilambi
One of the biggest lessons I've learned in my time is to never ever take your parents for granted. I know there are times when it's hard to see eye to eye with parents, but just remember that you only have them for so long and that you should appreciate every day that you have with them. dcdeb
I have 3 economic principles that I live my life by... I think they're fairly wise 1. You have to spend money to save money. 2. The more you buy, the more you save. (Think: buy one get one free!) 3. Expenses rise to meet income. dcdeb
BonjourMika1990
What doesn't kill you really does make you stronger... I rely on myself for support now, because I am confidant with the strength that I possess. Good things will come to those who truly believe in the power of their dreams. Suffering can be beautiful... it's just you and your pain and the world becomes clearer and less abstract Regrets are pointless DREAM BIG... I MEAN AS HUGE AS YOU WANT. DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU SOMETHING IS NOT POSSIBLE. LET THEM BELIEVE IT, BECAUSE THEY ARE HOPEPLESS. That's one thing that I love about me lol...ITs my ability to not dictate my daily decisions and dreams on my present situation...no matter how poor it is. My head is always in the clouds, always creating... This quality has made many dreams already come to pass. Manifesting your own destiny is essential. If you can visualize what you want, the universe will conspire to give it to you... For example: The day I found out Johnny Depp was going to be filming a movie near me I screamed on the phone to my sister: " I'm going to meet him! I am going to meet him!" I truly believed it, even though nobody else did. I left it alone, and thought "whatever happens happenes..." It wasn't like I was "looking" for it... but subconsciously I attracted it to me. It's insane that JD came so close to me... insane. That doesn't happen to everyone! I met my hero, because I imagined it happening. People can say whatever they want, but I never lost faith that my time with him would come, and it did. I love this stuff:naughty:

I'm having to decide where i want to go and what i want to do very quickly and it's very stressful, but i think i've got it. My friends mother was asking me what i wanted to do, and i told her and she was quiet a minute and then replied "well, you can always change your mind..." and i'm thinking -are you completely serious??!! haha, i'm not going to change my mind, and her saying that only makes me want it more and i WILL get it. I think if you have enough motivation, you can make most things happen. Dumb people are my motivation.

It is so true, a beautiful way to be alone, but not lonely alone! And I love being home alone because I'm a thinker/daydreamer lol and it gives me time to think and reflect on things. Never fail to be your own best friend, that way you always feel comfortable in your own company and that feeling gives you a special colour which can be seen by others and they feel comfortable in your company! LadyGodiva
Always be a teacher's pet. You're more likey to get an A and you can get away with loads. I agree this works sometimes. I've gotten my grade boosted a lot because teachers liked me. But i've also had my grades lowered because they didn't for some reason. One teacher i had marked me of 10% off of what would have been a 100% paper- it was a simple fill in the blank assignment- because i wrote in red ink (when he corrects in black ink). And never told us otherwise. I have friends who wrote in both purple and green and they were fine. but then a teacher years before that boosted my grade from 91 to a 98% by giving me 100% on my assignments just because i was the only person in the class who kept track of the books i had read and turned it in. Awesomeness. insane.
