I agree! I was just about to say something about it, but I can't add anything more. You put it really well.:naughty:It may sound rude, but it's the truth.

Thanks, I think? :roftl:. I really don't think that what I said is rude- just realistic and honest.

I hate unfairness, and I am not afraid to say it out when I think someone is being treated badly, and in this case, I feel that violet and Kata were.

Reading all these posts has made me angry.

I find it majorly unfair that, violet_sky being one of the most peaceful, understanding and generally nicest people on this board, some other member who is often aggressive, insulting and plain rude (because let's face it, that is what you are like most of the time, Pam) is allowed to come in, say all those things, and then the response is to "take it to pm as it's a private matter".

No, I don't think that it's a private matter. Why are we tiptoeing around it?

Fact is, Pam is very often very aggressive and unpleasant with people. One could even say that this is how she is all the time, with a few exceptions.

She's being openly difficult, and quite frankly, I think that by minimising this incident, that type of behaviour is being condoned.

Some of us have been accused of bullying or victimising for far less. Why is she allowed to do this?

As someone said, this is a social site, so if you can't or won't deal with it, then you can take your bad moods elsewhere. There is a line, and I feel that Pam crosses it all the time, and now other innocent people who have just had enough, and reached the end of their tether, are put in the same basket.

Wrong .

I agree too!:thumb_yello:

It doesn't seem rude at all imo, we are all new to this changes and maybe they, the changes, will be the reason for one or the other member to leave if it's hard to put up with the conditions. This is a social place after all, not our private bedroom!

ok folks, now everybody ordinate in line throwing stones at Pam :meow:

who the fk are we to say "I can't tolerate this person?"

if you're upset of Pam's behaviour, just accept it coz i don't think she's gonna change..worst, I've the suspect that you'll only cause infinite discussions.

peace&lollipops :kaf:

So what you're basically saying is that the fact that someone is not gonna change gives them the right to act like a complete twat? I just love that :kaf:

Peace, love & pancakes :wub2:

Oh God. I knew these changes would cause a fight:doh:

Guys, you've all made your point now. If Pam will be more rude, she'll probably get banned one day. And otherwise, if you don't like her behaviour, you can add her to your ignore list.:wink2:It's not there for nothing:naughty:

hiii

how many tags can have a thread??

5 or something it`s ok?

25 tags for a thread.

thank you dear

yes it is a mod function... we cannot erase... the bottons "edit tags" are not allowed for us.

sorry i dont understand if your question is to me or to general people... i will ask to robi to explain me... :blush-anim-cl:

at the moment there is a quite bad word in the italian thread and some of us we would like to erase it.... :wink2:

Allegra, my comment was to everyone in general -- I see there are some

abuses of the tags already, and was trying to ask nicely that people

refrain from getting too carried away.

Wrong .

Yes, Pam has a certain reputation, there's no denying that, Sara.

But in this particular case, if you read far enough back in this thread,

you'll see that Pam expressed her opinion that she didn't want to

use some of the new social aspects of the MFC. Fair enough, I think.

Romis posted on her "wall", telling her basically to get over it. I don't

think it was fair for Pam's opinion to be challenged in this way --

regardless of how she may have rubbed a few people the wrong way.

Two wrongs don't make a right, as my mother used to say.

Things of course have escalated from that point, as they usually

do here on the MFC :naughty:

The mods are not condoning anyone's rude behavior, and are not

minimizing it. But if I were to ban everyone who was ever rude to

me on this site, people who told me that I had no business butting

into their threads, etc., well, let's just say there would be a few

people missing. This thing today seemed to be a personality clash

best handled in PM -- and I think Niki was right to suggest that.

Well I have not been on this site much of late, and er...feel well out of the loop, but er....sounds like some disagreements going on and I best keep out of them as I have no idea whats gone on.

Onto the changes, I like the albums and thats about all I have played with so far, no doubt I will like the other st0of too when I discover it all :wink2:

oh i love the photo album- can you just copy pics from someone elses to urs?

I don't think so -- I think you have to upload photos from your own

computer to place them in your album.

it's always comforting seeing on your myspace login page notification like "it's blocked since someone tried to hack your profile" :kaf:

I'm sorry Greta I didn't get what you just said...what's your question? Is it about the MFC or Myspace?

I don't know why there seems to be a perpetual underlying current of paranoia where MFC and privacy is concerned.

MFC is privately owned but it's not private. We're not invisible. People can see what you write, they can see your pictures and they can see the details you put in your profile.

If people are uncomfortable with this idea then maybe the internet isn't the right place for them. It's not incumbent on the admins of MFC to cover your tracks or keep information you choose to publish safe from curious eyes. That's your responsibility.

uhm, I don't know.. I was thinking that {pornspamming apart} the new features don't helps privacy defence..oh I'll just deal with it :meow:

Uh, I agree with Christine, and besides, I don't see in what way the new features are different from the old ones regarding the info you've decided to put on your profile.

If you're afraid of being "stalked" and that someone might "invade" your privacy by checking yer profile (which is sthg that's been possible since the beginning of MFC), you at least know their identity now.

In fact, the only ones who should really be bothered are the stalkers :naughty:

--- and I have NOTHING to hide! :roftl:

Exactly .. you know going into someones profile might for for a gazzlion of reasons . As mods it has to be done and is part of the MFC.

<maybe I did have something else to add>

Its silly that people have had the ability since day one to go into a profile but now a name is there its all freaky :boxed:

What I find freaky is that YOU, yes YOU, FD, visited my profile last and didn't even leave a note, flowers or an invitation to dinner!

Don't you love me anymore? :tears:

*goes to drop a pint on Freddie's wall, maybe that'll bring the love back :wub2:*

I'm not paranoid, I was just hoping that you'd create some useful features like that it would be not that easy to create new accounts just to lurk and stuff of this kind..oh well... the personal albums feat for instance is a great thing but I think I'll continue to fill the threads with random images anyway coz they're more funny&interesting than most of the blabbing :kaf:

sometimes I wonder if this could be defined as forum= discussion board...:meow:

Thing is we didnt CREATE the features. They're part of the standard new Vbulletin version we had to get in order to prevent the tons of spamming we've had lately.

First of all you can take your complaints to vbulletin.com if you don't like the new features because no one here created them.

Secondly we did implement an extremely useful feature. The upgrade has prevented dozens of spammers an hour from registering.

I mean how are the mods going to have time to spy on all the users and invade their privacy if we're tied up deleting spam? :mf_rosetinted:

I know, but there's nothing you can't do if you want modify the standard version I think http://www.vbulletin.com/features_project.php

in any case, question closed for me

better concerning bout other things :chkn:

I think Deb's already said we'd look into this. I'm sure she'll ask Andrew asap but if you'd excuse him, he has a life, has just gone married, and maybe our "privacy" comes after his private life on his priorities' list ;) Question closed indeed ;)

*goes back stalking* :roftl:
