Efriani
Well, Lady Gaga is going to have a concert in Indonesia on June 6th. First, we were very happy to know it. Indonesian Little Monsters were queueing to get the tix, although the price is expensive enough. We have no problem with it. But, the chaos started when one of religion organisation said that their people banned Lady Gaga and will close the airport if LG still come. This organisation based on Islam (most of Indonesia citizen are moslem) and they use religion things to explain why they do that. But one thing you should to know is this organisation is only do politics thing, not the religion. Most of moslem in Indonesia disagree with them because they use rude even violent action in their activity. The government seems useless to shut their action up. I don't know why we have stupid and powerless government. Democracy is failed here. So, I think I have to explain here that We (Indonesian) have no problem about Lady Gaga concert. Efriani
I think it is June 3RD is it not? Yes, June 3rd. Sorry for my mistake. Yes heard about that in the news, I think all of it was happening in Jakartha... But at least nothing really violent is happening on the streets (not yet) only manifestations I guess. Yes. The latest news I heard that the police will reconsider it. Some of activists said that the organisation would reconsider it too because the promotor gave some money to them. That's ironic

A. Clay
Indonesia's National Police Says it Might Allow Lady Gaga Show Farouk Arnaz & Markus Junianto Sihaloho May 21, 2012 The National Police revised its stance on the Lady Gaga concert on Monday, saying it might issue the permit the show needs to go on. National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Saud Usman Nasution said that if the promoter could get recommendations from the concert venue and the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry, as well as prove it was a legal entity, the National Police would issue the permit. “As long as it meets those three requirements, [the concert] will be staged,” Saud said. http://www.thejakartaglobe.com/jakarta/indonesias-national-police-says-it-might-allow-lady-gaga-show/519206 The promoter has until three days before the concert, scheduled for June 3, to get the permit, Saud said. Lady Gaga meets Thai 'lady boys' Read more here: http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/05/25/2816642/born-this-way-lady-gaga-meets.html She’s here! (updated) Published: 24/05/2012 at 08:33 PM http://www.bangkokpost.com/learning/easier-stuff/294846/she-s-here Evening update Apparently Lady Gaga wasn’t tired when she arrived in Bangkok last night. After checking into her hotel, she and her staff went out to watch a transvestite cabaret show at the Asia Hotel on Phaya Thai Road. Reports said the 26-year-old American female pop singer and songwriter, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, was impressed with the one-hour show and went backstage to shake hands with the performers. Calypso Cabaret manager Nipon Boonmasuwaran said Lady Gaga's personal staff reserved 20 seats for the show but nobody expected her to show up. "I feel very proud and excited because millions of people spend their money to see her concerts but the pop superstar spends her money to see our Calypso Cabaret show," Mr Nipon said.
