sienna
It’s hard to decide on one occasion but Madrid was fantastic. The night felt magic, we waited so long and through this huge crowd we actually made it to the front row! When Mika finally came on stage the whole feeling about him was that he was relaxed and enjoyed to do the show. Queenie and Mirtilla were on stage as big girls. Freddie and the others had planned the meet and greet, which was so nice although it was around 5 o'clock in the morning. I really appriciated to have time to talk to and get to know several people from the MFC too, even if it had very little to do with Mika himself, but of course he brought us together! Maybe it was the whole experience with my first (but I hope not the last) visit to Spain, this beautiful and exciting country!

HollyD
HANDS DOWN -- by far ........ ----- for me it is pretty obvious! .... right? Terminal 5 One of the greatest days of my entire LIFE -- not just 2008! But, WHAT a way to kick off the New Year it was! I got to meet SO many amazing MFCers! It made SUCH an impact that we WILL be flying to NYC for a 'reunion' EVERY tour! Meeting MIKA was undescribable! He is so gracious! And the concert rocked my sox! I will never forget ANYTHING about that day -- for as long as I live! The good the bad or the ugly -- and YES there was some u g l y Highlights: Ordering pizza and having it delivered to the street in front of the venue. Getting Donut holes and Hot Chocolate from John. Jerry taking Alex's phone number *and picture* and then later calling her. Singing for Andy as he recorded us *WHERE is that footage - MIKA?* Mika touching my name tag - and saying "What's that?" ... in that voice Looking into Mika's eyes..as he spoke to me, trying desperately not to pass out. The unity of the MFC - the feeling was VERY apparent. As hellacious as it was -- getting there at 5 A.M. and all the memories that went along with standing there for 15 HOURS straight at the time - I was FREEZING and in so much pain -- now as I reflect on it, I can find all of the beauty that I was far too numb at the time to see! I will NEVER forget that day -- and now, I can only look forward to the next tour... it is going to be EVER better!!!!
xlindee
Even though I didn't go to the meet & greet (I still haven't forgiven my dad for that!), I luuuuurved Amsterdam! I came waaay too late and thought I'd never made it to one of the first rows, but I did! Meeting everyone and queueing with Starrats and Ingie (and leaving my parents+sister somewhere behind:naughty:) was so much fun! Best part of the queueing was when Ingie and I climbed on the fence during the soundcheck, and waved at him. He waved back! Ing, do you remember? And then the running to the rows ofcourse. I've never been that nervous. It looked like the Stiletto Run (a Dutchie with fashion knowledge would know what I mean:naughty:), tons of girls (and boys ofcourse) running to the stage, and loads of them with high heels (the girls, not the boys ofcourse)! I remember only thinking: Fence, fence fence, first row! And I was so glad when we made it to the first row, and there we met Rose and Margaret! My first Mikagig, such a great night. I may not have met the man himself, but meeting you all, that made up for it.

It must've been amazing standing so close to me during the gig:roftl:

dcdeb
Terminal 5 Well, obviously, I have to agree with you, Holly -- since it was the only time I saw Mika in person in 2008... That whole evening was fantastic, but especially after the gig, when we met him... and he came over and looked at me and said, "We've met before... Glasgow!" Yes, that was definitely my Mika moment of the year!

Clare
What is your best Mika moment Clare? Love you too! Oh I would love to come back, you live in an amazing country that's for sure! Well I know I'm pretty late replying to you about this now that 2008 is over. So much has happened over the Christmas period I haven't had a chance to get caught up with this thread I made last year. I would say my best Mika moments were being on the Mika fan club really.
