THANKS= GRAZIE

I'm here to teach some dirty words :boing:

Oh, and here's a word (not a dirty one!) in roman dialect: SEL-LE-RO-NE, that means "long celery" and it describes a very tall person...

maybe a celery with curly hair?

never heard that word :naughty:

because it's filled with insidejoking words, not Italian :kaf:

it's beyond the advanced level...actually it's the MADNESS :meow:

avete capito?!?

true, you'd learn no Italian there :naughty:

An example: you meet Mika and you could greet him saying "hi, Mika, you good old SELLERONE!"

sì magari dandogli una bella pacca sulla spalla (come si dice in inglese?)tipo "ciao vecchio mio" (hi, my good old friend) :roftl::roftl::roftl:

Fanny don't listen to Greta... she's a naughty girl!! :naughty:

"vado a magna, se vedemo!" is Roman dialect for "vado a mangiare, ci vediamo" = i go to eat, see you"

The other sentence is: Grazie mille per la tua risposta e come ti chiami?

Bye= ciao

May I join as a student as well?? :naughty:

Please Italian speakers!!! don't teach dialects here! :no: it may be confusing for learners...so try to be clear if you post slang or dialect from regions and cities :thumb_yello:

I had never heard of sellerone before :blink:

Grazie=thanks

Vado a mangiare=I'm going to have lunch/dinner
