mandilambi
I haven't seen a topic for the movie "Up" yet, so I thought I'd start a topic. I was finally able to see it today after about three weeks of trying to go to the theater to watch it. I thought it was a wonderful movie. I was crying so much during the first 10 minutes and immediately felt emotionally invested! I found the sadder part of the story to be the most interested part and I loved how they tied everything together at the end. So yeah, can't wait to see it again...but I doubt I'll go as crazy as I did when I saw Wall-e a bajillion times last summer.
englishrose
My boyfriend and I saw the preview for this when we watched Wall-E and fell in love with it...we've been dying to see it ever since...I can't wait!
mandilambi
Go see it! I am sure you will enjoy it. Just be sure to take a pack of kleenex with you.
Suzy
I normally can't stand animated movies...but this is one exception. I watched the 3-D version with the whole family and it was delightful, cute and funny. I especially loved the first half of the movie. My eight year old and I were a mess. And I kept saying to myself "Whoa - hold on, these are just drawings!"

Since we share more or less the same taste in music, I suppose this one shouldn't be much different, either:wink2: I'll go and watch it when it becomes available over here
Elmindreda
I really loved it. It was so sad (I didn't cry), but there was tons of good humour in the right places. Did anybody else notice that it didn't really feel 3-D?

You're getting outta control here!" LOL ... I really loved it. It was so sad (I didn't cry), but there was tons of good humour in the right places. Did anybody else notice that it didn't really feel 3-D? I think after watching it for a while you gradually forget about the 3D.
suzie
Good point...have you ever seen/liked the other Pixar films? ...had to look up Pixar on wiki... Oh, yes. Toy Story and Monsters Inc are 2 of my favourite films ever, even though I am not a fan of animated movies. I did not even like them much as a child... ... but these two are different:thumb_yello:

PhotoJenic
Aww I LOVED Up! I'm not big on animated movies anymore but there's always one that'll come out that I'm dying to see and this was it! I saw it two times and went with different friends each time. The first part was sooo sweet and sad. My friends cried but I didn't. My eyes only watered slightly. I tried so hard not to because I knew if I started I wouldn't stop and I hate it when it happens when you're in quite place. I had gone through that with my portfolio review from being so terrified to extremely happy that I didn't want to start sobbing like that in the movie theater. I did laugh uncontrollably at the dog part though. I don't want to say at what because I don't want to ruin it for others, but I think those of you who saw it could guess. I would definitely go see it again in a heart beat, along with the movie The Hangover.

It is by far my favorite Pixar film and actually I'd say it's one of my top five fave films of all time. Defintely worth a watch if you haven't seen it! findingmywords
Pixar is so absolutely amazing. You can never go wrong with Pixar. I want to work for them some day. And the "Partly Cloudy" short at the beginning!! That was so ADORABLE! Poor cloud... but at least he has an amazing best friend-stork. Favorite parts: "small mailman" "when the dogs are flying and one of the characters says, 'look, squirell' and they all look and crash and then the dog says "I hate squirells!"" "When small mailman is smushed against the blimp window for like five minutes with the noise and everything hahah" "The dog with the high voice malfunction" And just the random little funny things that go on haha. I loved whenever they showed the shot of the house and balloons floating in the sky from far away. It just looked very beautiful and magical haha. Love that movie!
