Yes, we took India around 1500, D. Manuel was the King by then, you must have heard about Vasco da Gama, the sailor???

 

And it lasted until the 1950's mainly Goa, the main territory, we lost it due to both Indian Independence War and Portugal's 1975 Revolution and Colonial War...
