A. Clay
I'm not sure Mr. President is attending the after dinner concert I doubt it: I would expect him to mix a bit before his speech and then depart after he gives the speech.
A. Clay
Mika is playing at the AFTER party...it may not be in exactly the same place as the huge dinner.... I've been wondering about this since you posted it. Since I managed to get myself on a "ticket wait list" I had several questions. I spoke today to a HRC REP. for some clarifications. He was able to pull up my "wait list" information on his computer screen. He confirmed that the dinner ticket (275) does include the after party for all ticket holders and that it will take place also in the convention center (vs. elsewhere) saying "we have a very large space set aside for the after party," BUT he said I was about 168th on the list and I likely had only a 1 to 2% chance to be able to secure a ticket! He was very nice. Maybe the personal contact will help. I want so badly to see MIKA in my home town!

suzie
@Alice I would have never thought you could apply for tickets for such an event. I thought it was invitation only. So even having a slim chance sounds promising to me.

A. Clay
Never give up hope.....no matter how seemingly hopeless it seems. Well, it does say "at this time" . . . just wish I'd learned of it sooner. I think, perhaps it is primarily aimed at-- It IS a FUNDRAISER for the CAUSE and at-- POLITICAL PARTY ANIMALS --of which I am neither. I think folks in those arenas /circles most likely learned of it in good time. Edited September 29, 2011 by A. Clay

nico_collard
I'm so excited that he's doing something in North America. Hopefully the first of many gigs/appearances in the next year. Here's hoping! HERE, now you can say you've actually heard Greyson Chance . . . Well he's a clever little kidlet... Wow, he is actually really good! Shame about a few rather bored looking people in the background. I was thinking the same thing... That and theyre were very well behaved for fangirls...
