Under Michel Legrand direction, 12 pop stars return to the Christmas classics. Mika, Carla Bruni, Coeur de Pirate, or-M-and Renan Luce will attend.

In his album, ''Christmas Christmas Christmas'', Michel Legrand proposes his selection of winter songs. Twelve french and international artists remember melodies that lit up the Christmas of their childhood. From Jingle Bells to Silent Night, passing by Santa Baby, it's the greatest Christmas songs that have been revised by Michel Legrand. He signed the arrangements and the management of a large symphony orchestra with a jazz big band, all recorded in New York. Michel Legrand also offers us a new song written for the occasion, entitled ''Hope Christmas''.

Are reunited in this case: Mika, Carla Bruni, Coeur de Pirate, Iggy Pop, Emilie Simon, Renan Luce,-M-, Olivia Ruiz, Ayo, but Jamie Cullum, Rufus Wainwright and Madeleine Peyroux. A dream cast for an exceptional Christmas!

To be released November 21, 2011.

Tracklist:

1. Jamie Cullum - Let It Snow

2. Madeleine Peyroux, Emilie Simon, Carla Bruni, Rufus Wainwright, Iggy Pop - Noël d’espoir

3. Madeleine Peyroux - Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

4. Mika - Vive le vent

5. Emilie Simon - Santa Baby

6. Renan Luce - Le Père-Noël et la petite fille

MICHEL'S NEW CHRISTMAS SONGBOOK

Michel is back in the recording studio. He and his team flew to New York recently to record a new album of Christmas standards with another glittering array of French and international collaborators. The as yet untitled album will have a worldwide release at the end of November 2011 on Universal. We can't say much more now but it's going to be a great festive treat for Michel's fans.

I can't wait to see what he does with this song.

"Vive le vent", if sang traditionally, isn't a song that is going show how great of a voice he has.

Looking forward to it. I would have prefered if he sang "Jingle Bells" though. I'm not a huge fan of the french version, but i'll hold my judgement til i hear it :teehee:
