Il 13 dicembre 2013, subito dopo la finale al Mediolanum Forum, avete iniziato a chiederci:
“Ma Mika ci sarà anche l’anno prossimo?”.
Vi abbiamo sempre risposto che a tempo debito l’avremmo comunicato… e a distanza di quattro mesi possiamo finalmente svelarvelo:
Mika tornerà a sedersi al tavolo della giuria di X Factor!

L’anno scorso Mika ha dimostrato di avere grande esperienza, sensibilità e voglia di mettersi in gioco.
Ha imparato l’italiano in tempo record riuscendo a tenere testa agli altri giudici con le sue battute genuine e divertenti. Il suo bagaglio musicale ha portato una ventata di internazionalità allo show, facendo scoprire al pubblico canzoni appartenenti alla cultura di altri Paesi.
L’avete visto cantare, ballare, arrabbiarsi e commuoversi. È stato un insegnante severo ma anche un fratello maggiore su cui contare.
Cosa ci riserverà Mika quest’anno? Una cosa è certa: spacherà!

We have always said that we would have communicated in due course ... and at a distance of four months we can finally say it : Mika will return to sit at the table of the jury of X Factor !

Last year Mika has been shown to have great experience, sensitivity and desire to get into the game. He learned Italian in record time managing to keep up with the other judges with his jokes and genuine fun . His musical knowledge has brought a wave of internationalism to the show , making the audience discover songs belonging to the culture of other countries. Did you see him sing, dance , get angry and emotioned. It was a strict teacher but also an elder brother to rely on. Mika, what's in store this year? One thing is certain : spaccherà ! (=he will breake everything!)

I just hope, this year, Simon is impressed by what Mika has achieved. He needs to acknowledge Mika publicity as a huge force in music. Mention Mika's success, and maybe invite him to, at least, sing on X Factor in UK and US. In other words, if Mika is working for Simon, and is such a huge asset, Simon should help to promote Mika. It's the least he can do.

So, I don't know if you already saw Mika's interview in "E poi c'è Cattelan" but long story short Street Clerks, who were contestants in the last season of X Factor (with simona ventura ) are now part of the cast of the program and play live with their band. So, it happened that when the presenter announced Mika, it started a video where you could see a summary of the judgments that Mika had given to the Street Clerks and they were mostly negative one : DDD

So, during the program, they played a lot on this " conflictual relationship " and Street Clerks, after Mika's announcement regarding his participation in the next season of X Factor, said they were sorry for the future generations, because they claim that Mika is bad : D

However he appreciates the Street Clerks a lot and has also said it many times, it's just that sometimes he did not approve so much the way they performed , or the songs.

For example, it is famous his phrase, " They are good but this choice is ****" related to the exhibition in which they sang "Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears. So they have welcomed him when he entered to the studio with this song : DDD

Mazzoleni: Mi interessava che in Italia si capisse la sua musica e il suo personaggio. Volevo far emergere la sua arte. Quando andò la prima volta adXFactor su Sky chiesi di farlo sedere qualche minuto in giuria. Dieci minuti dopo la fine della sua performance ci chiesero di fargli fare il giudice per l’edizione successiva. Con lui l’obiettivo è di cercare di fare sempre qualcosa di nuovo, di dargli una sua unicità.

Basically Giulio says that when he got Mika to do XF and ads he wanted to make Italy understand Mika's music and character. That he wanted to make his art come to light.

When Mika first went to XF Giulio asked the production to give him the chance to sit among the judges for a few minutes and then they asked him to be a judge for the next season.

He says also that the goal is to make Mika always do something new, in order to give him his own uniqueness

(btw, the person who was in the studio who we could have talk to but I didn't cause I don't care was Chiara Galizia, I'm telling cause I know some people here had a real interest in the previous XF)

I haven't seen one single "angry" comment about this anywhere and no one is saying anything negative at all about it in this thread. Don't stir up drama where there is none. Some people don't love the idea of Mika doing a TV show. That doesn't make them angry and what I am tired of is people implying that others have no lives, etc. People are entitled to express their opinion without others trying to humiliate and guilt trip them into being silent. Enough already.

I can't say I'm 100% ok with this, but I guess it's going to be fine.

At this point, I'm waiting to see who the other judges are going to be, and I'm hoping that a friend of mine, who's going to the castings, is going to make it. She has an amazing voice.

I am not furious, probably because I somehow expected a new X Factor season, but I do politely say that he's wasting his talent (even if he's probably earning a lot of money). And I dare adding that those horrific ADs do not show his artistic skills in anyway :aah:

Only my personal opinions, of course, and I am fully aware that complaining isn't going to affect Mika's choices
