I don't know if there is already a general thread about this:

I think it would be good to have a list of the most important radio stations in every country where Boum Boum Boum is available, with a way to contact them.

So it will be possible for people who have time and want to do it, to contact the radios in order to ask for BBB to be played on it more often.

I think the more it's played on radio, the more people will buy the single :thumb_yello:

We decided to do it with some French fans, but I think that fans of other countries are doing that also, so maybe it would be good to have a recap for every country here :thumb_yello:

So if you have time you can contact every radio in every country :teehee:

Discuss with one of Germanys biggest radii statioj again and again, mostky they ignore or find strange reasons not to play Mika, but keep on

Here's the biggest UK Radio station, for getting songs into the UK charts. They have refused to play Mika as they say he isn't relevant. It would take a landslide of requests to make them change their minds. But we can try.

Can they decide to play a song just ouf of audience's wish or some kind of deal is always needed when a new song is released?

 

If the label don't go and propose it to the radios, can radios go to the label and ask for it?

Can the mountain go to mohammed?

'cause if it can, then we try and push the mountain, but I'd like to understand how this works.

Yes, I think we can... That's exactly what happened here with Elle me dit.

 

Doesn't always work but if we get the ball rolling, and people like it and request it also, it can work!

The way I understand it, in the UK, the Radio stations can play what they like. But with the top ones, like Radio One, it's a catch 22 situation.

While the artist is having hit songs, they will be played. When they have songs that fail, R1 stop playing their songs.

They played WAG, but Rain didn't do well, so R1 removed it from the playlist. BIOTG also failed, so the nails went in the coffin.

None of the 3rd album songs got played.

Someone said they often count the popularity of the song's video, as an indication of the song's popularity, but Popular Song has had millions of hits and it's made no difference.

The only chance is for lots of people to request the song. I've done so by the website and on Twitter a few days ago.

I don't know about other countries, my experience is with the UK. But I imagine that it's a similar thing abroad.

There's also radio6, DeltaFM. They're local stations but quite famous over here. They played Mika a lot and would play BBB too.
