Incredible show tonight, my favorite of the tour so far. He did No Place in Heaven, Hurts and stunning Happy Ending without a microphone in the end :wub2: Very relaxed, he seemed to be in a good mood. I filmed a couple of songs but was on the side and near the speakers so need to check how the sound is.

:aah: What a great night in the fabulous NHK Hall, which Mika filled right up to the 3rd floor with enthusiastic fans! So many famous concerts have been held there over the years, it was a place filled with memories for a lot of people!!

It was also really special for us Tokyo fans to be in a seated venue. We never had one before, and it was still possible to dance and party together in a less...well...dangerous? way. We used to come out covered in bruises from every Mika show, and quiet often we could hardly breathe from the crush and the heat - once Mika even said he couldn't breathe on stage it was so hot - well there was NO problem with that at NHK Hall, it was just open and wide and he ran around all over the stage. With a big hall and a big crowd like that, you can really see Mika just comes alive and he is at his best.

His Japanese is also really impressive when he chatters away during the show - he has a huge and pretty unusual vocabulary - even if he just got someone to write down all the things he wanted to say, how could he remember it all at just the right moments? And then manage to put it all together grammatically? For a non-native Japanese speaker like me, who spent YEARS learning the language, I find it really mind-blowing how he can do that. Of course he's not perfect and the fans laugh a lot at his cute phrases and mistakes, but he really has a gift with languages, and can pull it all off quite spontaneously.

I made a lot of videos - there was one guy standing in front of me who didn't move much at all, so it was challenging to get him out of the video...and then because we were so close to the speakers, my camera's sound got overloaded quite a lot. :( So if you watch mine, I hope you can enjoy the visuals and not mind too much about the sound coming and going.

A few of the highlights for me - I LOVE Porcelain that he opens with, it really let's us hear his voice so clearly. He sang No Place in Heaven, he jumped off the stage and ran around in the audience during Staring at the Sun, which is so nice for the fans further back. Underwater was just beautiful looking back at all the lights from everyone's phones.  And he sang HURTS too - we called out a lot to request that song - in Japanese it sounds like "Hearts" so I was nominated to shout it out as "hurts", and my voice must have been so loud he told me to stop bullying him and then he sang it!!  :teehee:

There was a group of fans who had made some ARIGATO (Thank you) signs and lots of people held them up at the end, and Mika really loved that. I made a separate video of that.

So here's my full list of videos:

The show was amazing! Mika was very relaxed and looked having fun himself.

We were very lucky to have hear Hurts. I loved it! Thank you to a fan next to me who shouted out to him.

I love his face after he said 'Stop bullying me'. :lmfao:

The venue was full of happiness and pleasurable excitement.

Mika responded to our politely call "hurts" and sang it politely.   :naughty:   We were very lucky audience.
I hope that he will come back here in two years and I want to share the wonderful moment with  lovely MFCer again. :bye:

Thank you Blue Sky for your great report! It seems that every time Mika does a new tour in Japan the venues are bigger: Liquide Room capacity 1200, Studio Coast 2400 and NHK Hall 3600  :thumb_yello:. It is amazing to notice that he can still sell big venues even if he hasn't got any hit singles on the last album and it didn't sell very well in Japan.

I just uploaded videos I shot.

The view was good, but the sound is not good because the speaker was near.

Additionally, I focused on watching him by my eyes directly, sometimes the camera missed to capture him...

But I hope you'll enjoy these.

◆No Place In Heaven - Talk About You - Grace Kelly

MIKA is speaking a lot of Japanese here. I was amazed that his Japanese was improved. I think he's genius for not only music and art but also mastering languages.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xvUiUzti2jk

◆A part of Big Girl

He invited some fans onto the stage and danced with them. He knows the ways to enjoy the shows with us :)

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_U00QzTKK1c

◆Good Guys - Origin Of Love

I love Origin Of Love, but I didn't know this song has the image of riding a horse!

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qO4Isl-_C_E

◆Take It Easy

His jump is amazing as usual.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4lFT5skzzbI

◆Lollipop Pop

Here, he's also speaking Japanese. Even if the greeting at the beginning was prepared, this is a proof that his ability of speaking Japanese is genuine!

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mBoJuwY2NOU

◆Dance in Elle Me Dit

I only shot his charming dance :D

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L88B3f9LJak

◆We Are Golden - Last Party

His idea, which is spilling out gold confetti from the inside of the jacket, was fantastic!!! I was greatly impressed.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=30oxSIqP1pA

◆This is just the part of spilling confetti

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7yEFaKL0CJg

◆Love Today

The staging showing his silhouette through stained-glass-like set was totally art!

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SUNLCGc3FYs

◆Greeting at the end of the show

He found fans were holding up papers written "Arigato"(means Thank you in Japanese), he took a paper from my friend. It was the moment that the effort of fans who prepared those papers was rewarded :)

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EfTytH0H8TE

Anyway, this show was the best I've ever watched!

I really thank MFC to give me a chance to watch the show like this.

Hi,MIKA fans! :)

Actually, This was my first MIKA gig, and luckily I was able to see him closely.
Thanks to MFC, I was able to have a fun time!
I'm pulsated still now....
In hindsight , I should have taken more good pictures, but I'm really poor in camera technique.

What's his secret to learning Japanese and Korean so fast?????

It’s a big mystery. He chose the right words to each situation.

If he memorized phrases like an actor in a play, he wasn’t able to use those words

because the concert is different from a play. I guess he spoke ad lib a lot during the show.

He has a genius for music and language too.
