The Mika's concert in Solliès Pont was really amazing! I loved the location! We were in a castle! Mika was wonderful during the gig and after... He signed me the Sinfonia Pop and I spoke with him about Piedmont, where I live! ❤

Mika - Relax ending + speech @ Festival du Chateau, Sollies Pont in France

Translation :uk: by YouTube user Marie lou

here is a translation of his speech . I hope it will be clear enough.

"I think it is impossible to do a concert in the South without thinking about what happened in Nice.
I want to have a serious thought about it because it's close to us. We have faced big challenges for a while, for a few months. Terrorist attacks took place in France against free expression, against liberty, against our free way of living. And I must repeat what I said 2 days after, in Nimes, at the beginning of the concert. What we are doing here, this concert with everybody singing and expressing oneself in security, is not a privilege. It is necessary and needs to be protected. I don't want to break the atmosphere but I can't forget this really important thing: thinking about every victim at the hospital and everyone who attended this attack. A few days ago we observed one minute of silence.
This evening, we are going to sing. I wrote this song the day of London bombings. I didn't know what to do once back home and I wrote this song.
So I ask you to sing it with me as loud as possible."

My translation for Mika's speech before Relax:

I think it is almost impossible to do a concert in the south (of France) without a moment in the concert, even if it's not at the beginning, without a thought for what happened in Nice, a serious thought, and it's been a few months that France, even longer that there France has been facing huge challenges, attacks in France which are against freedom of expression, against living in a free way. And I have to say what I said in Nîmes, two days after the attack (in Nice) at the beginning of the concert. "What we are doing here, the concert, all of us together, in a secure way, without being afraid, singing, expressing ourselves is not a priviledge, it is a necessity that needs to be granted no matter what it takes. I don't want to spoil the fun but at the same time I don't want to betray something that is very important and while thinking about everyone who was injured, about all the victims, about all people who are still in hospital.and everyone who saw the attack with their own eyes, a few days ago we remained silent for a minute. Today we sing. I wrote this song on the day of the attacks in England, in London in on the day when the tube was attacked. I didn't know what to do so I went home and I wrote a song which was this one So what I'm asking you tonight in the most simple way is to sing it with me as loud as you can

I lived some years of my life in a little city near Solliès Pont..so I decided to go back to this beautiful place once he added this gig!
First I thank my italian and french friends of MFC..so kind and nice as always. Then I thank Mika for this amazing concert!  :cheer:
The venue was particular and stunning..I love so much castles and this place reminds me many things of my life so this gig will be in me heart in a very special place because of my memories.
It's been a quiet queue and I appreciated this since I had bad experiences about queuing. Security was pretty good  and I conquered the first row without problems!
Mika was great..I love his performance a lot, one of the best in my opinion. He was full of energy and the audience went crazy for him especially during the funny BBB's moment and songs like Love today!  :excite:
On the other hand the moment when he talked about the Nice's attack was really moving..I remember we sang Relax louder than we could. This song is happy but that night revealed its essence again..emotional moment, definitely.
In addition to this concert I would like to mention (again!) the big courtesy and kindness with which Mika approached  to us after the gig! He had words and a smile for all..despite his tiredness. I talked with him in a rare quiet situation..the best way to terminate a great night.  :fangurl:
For the moment this was my last gig..and I'm a little bit sad :tears: ..but I have great memories about the tour and this gig, thanks to Mika...
These are my pics of the gig....
See you soon..  ;)
