Torna con un format ancora più sorprendente l’annuale charity event che UNHCR Italia dedica alle aziende, alle fondazioni e ai grandi donatori italiani. Ospite d’onore della serata Mika, straordinario artista e high profile supporter dell’UNHCR.

 

Il 9 novembre 2017 lo Spazio Cubo dei Frigoriferi Milanesi – messo a disposizione da Open Care – ospiterà Welcome to Wonderland, un’esperienza emozionante ideata dall’agenzia Stage Entertainment Events, con atmosfere magiche riecheggianti il mondo di “Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie” e sorprendenti collegamenti con il lavoro quotidiano di UNHCR a favore dei bambini costretti a fuggire da conflitti e guerre.

 

Durante la serata verrà presentata una straordinaria opera donata dal Maestro Mimmo Paladino all’UNHCR per contribuire alla raccolta fondi dell’evento. L’opera verrà aggiudicata all’ospite che vorrà fare la donazione più generosa.

 

La cena servita durante la serata sarà accompagnata quest’anno da vini Mandrarossa, generosamente donati dalle Cantine Settesoli.

Nel corner aperitivi gli ospiti potranno provare i luxury drink analcolici Diferente, donati dalla Nano srl.

 

I proventi della serata saranno devoluti in favore del progetto Educate a Child, grazie al quale l’UNHCR vuole assicurare un’istruzione di qualità a un milione di bambini rifugiati in 12 paesi. L’obiettivo di “Welcome in Wonderland”  è garantire un anno di scuola a 7000 bambini rifugiati.

4300 refugee children return to school thanks to the UNHCR charity event

 

Welcome to Wonderland, l’annuale charity event organizzato dall’Agenzia ONU per i Rifugiati UNHCR ha raccolto ieri sera i fondi per far tornare a studiare più di 4300 bambini rifugiati. Ieri sera, a Milano, i Frigoriferi Milanesi sono diventati la location perfetta per riunire aziende, fondazioni e grandi donatori. Special guest della serata il cantautore e showman Mika, testimonial dell’UNHCR a livello internazionale, che ha sottolineato ancora una volta l’importanza cruciale dell’istruzione per la sopravvivenza e il futuro dei bambini rifugiati.

L’evento charity ha avuto nel gioco, nel sogno e nel risveglio sulla realtà i suoi principali ingredienti e ha fatto vivere ai partecipanti un’esperienza emozionante. Un allestimento sorprendente ha accompagnato gli ospiti nelle atmosfere magiche del mondo di Alice nel paese delle Meraviglie e nel lavoro quotidiano dell’UNHCR per garantire un’istruzione di qualità ai bambini rifugiati in fuga da conflitti e violenza.

 

“Siamo felici del risultato raggiunto grazie a questa serata”, ha detto Stephane Jaquemet, delegato dell’UNHCR per il Sud Europa, “E ci teniamo a ringraziare tutti i nostri sostenitori che hanno contribuito all’obiettivo finale: per l’UNHCR l’istruzione dei bambini rifugiati è una priorità assoluta. Per un bambino rifugiato la scuola infatti è una risorsa fondamentale sia per la sua sopravvivenza che per la costruzione di un futuro migliore”.

 

I fondi raccolti nel corso della serata permetteranno infatti a più di 4300 bambini di poter tornare sui banchi di scuola grazie a Educate a Child, il programma dell’UNHCR avviato nel 2012 in 12 paesi, tra cui la Siria e il Kenya, che ha già assicurato l’accesso all’istruzione a circa 1 milione di bambini. Un ‘impegno costante quello di UHNCR che si prefigge di aiutare i 3 milioni e mezzo di bambini rifugiati che oggi non hanno la possibilità di andare a scuola.

Il prezioso operato di UNHCR – l’Agenzia ONU per i rifugiati – riguarda anche i bambini e in particolare il sostegno della loro formazione, quale strumento fondamentale per provare a garantire loro un futuro migliore.

In quest’ottica lo scorso 9 novembre a Milano è andato in scena Welcome to Wonderland annuale charity event organizzato dall’Agenzia Onu per i rifugiati con lo scopo di raccogliere fondi per sostenere attività a favore dell’educazione e della crescita dei bimbi meno fortunati perché coinvolti, appunto, dalla condizione di rifugiati.

 

Special guest della serata il cantautore e showman Mika, testimonial dell’UNHCR a livello internazionale, che dal palco ha sottolineato l’importanza cruciale dell’istruzione per la sopravvivenza e il futuro dei bambini rifugiati. Last night in Milan, UNHCR held their third Charity Gala Event, aimed at raising funds for the Educate a Child Project and raising awareness on the refugee cause.

Guests were invited into an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ themed evening that carefully and emotionally educated about the plights of refugee children and UNHCR’s important work to combat this crisis.

As you may know, Mika has been an avid supporter of UNHCR and their incredible work, so it was fitting that he made a special appearance at the event to talk about his involvement with the charity and his trip with them to Lebanon. It is hoped that the funding raised from the event will allow thousands of refugee children to return to education and therefore hope for a better future. I had the opportunity to attend the charity event "Welcome to Wonderland" in Milan with some of my friends.

Like being in a fairy tale! There wasn't the floor, but real grass! An actress played Alice in Wonderland and other actors played the White Rabbit and so on...
