La fiction è formata da 12 episodi ed è ambientata all’interno del conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Milano. Racconta le storie di sette ragazzi che hanno la passione per la musica e sono tutti dei veri musicisti. Sono stati scelti durante dei casting nelle più eccellenti scuole d’Italia. In questa serie ci sarà anche la partecipazione di un grande artista: Mika che non vediamo l’ora di vedere in questa nuova veste. Il "colpevole" è Ivan Cotroneo che, dopo aver giocato con le famiglie allargate di E' arrivata la felicità (esperienza ormai definitivamente chiusa, dopo il crollo di ascolti della seconda stagione) e con il fantasy romantico di Sirene, ora si dà al Conservatorio, con La Compagnia del Cigno, di cui ha iniziato a mandare in onda il promo (lo vedete in alto). Ventuno le settimane di riprese della nuova serie tv, composta da dodici episodi e prodotta da Rai Fiction ed Indigo Film, che vedono Cotroneo non solo creatore ma anche, per la prima volta per una fiction lunga, regista. E per il suo debutto, ha deciso di farsi circondare da un cast di giovanissimi attori. Saranno loro i protagonisti principali della serie, ambientata nel Conservatorio "Giuseppe Verdi" di Milano: qui si svolgono le vicende dei sette giovani, tra cui Fotinì Peluso, rivelazione di Romanzo Famigliare ad inizio anno, ma anche Leonardo Mazarotto, Ario Sgroi, Francesco Tozzi, Hildegard De Stefano, Chiara Pia Aurora ed Emanuele Misuraca. Gran parte di loro, musicisti nella vita reale, sono alle prima esperienza televisiva.
