Ora pensate al genere di musica che ascolterebbero: scommettiamo che pensereste al pop, al rock, magari al rap. E invece i giovani protagonisti de «Lacompagnia del cigno», la fiction che debutta su Raiuno con un doppio appuntamento (lunedì 7e martedì 8 gennaio), ascoltano e suonano musica classica. Quando hanno le cuffiette nelle orecchie e muovono la testa a tempo, non lo fanno sulle note dell’ultimo successo di Taylor Swift, ma su una sinfonia di Brahms. Adolescenti di talento Adolescenti di talento La fiction di Ivan Cotroneo ci porta infatti al Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Milano, dove sette ragazzi, molto diversi tra loro, si ritrovano controvoglia a esercitarsi insieme per decisione del loro severissimo direttore d’orchestra. «Una sera ho assistito a un concerto di un quartetto d’archi tenuto da giovanissimi, e lì è scattata una molla» ci dice Ivan Cotroneo, che, oltre alla regia e al soggetto, ha anche firmato la sceneggiatura insieme con Monica Rametta. «Volevamo raccontare i ragazzi di oggi, non perché protagonisti di qualche articolo scandalistico, ma perché sono appassionati e hanno tante cose da insegnare a noi adulti, e volevamo mettere in scena il loro vero talento». E di talento i ragazzi de «La compagnia del cigno» ne hanno da vendere. Tutti sono veri musicisti del conservatorio, e solo due di loro hanno già lavorato come attori: Fotinì Peluso è stata protagonista della fiction «Romanzo famigliare», mentre Emanuele Misuraca ha recitato nel film «Come diventare grandi nonostante i genitori». Per gli altri invece questa è la prima esperienza come attori, ma non hanno avuto problemi: «Sono ragazzi fantastici, abituati ad andare al liceo e poi tornare a casa ed esercitarsi anche sette ore ogni giorno» racconta Alessio Boni, che nella fiction interpreta proprio il direttore d’orchestra, il Maestro Marioni, detto «il bastardo» per la sua severità e intransigenza. Per la prima volta sul set «Studiare qualche battuta per loro è stato facilissimo, e hanno portato sul set una spontaneità e un’energia incredibili» conclude Boni. I ragazzi de «La compagnia del cigno» non sono degli studenti pigri o demotivati. Anzi, la serie «mostra un lato dell’adolescenza molto positivo» aggiunge Anna Valle, che interpreta Irene, ex compagna di Marioni, che ha cambiato vita dopo che un evento drammatico ha spezzato la loro famiglia. «È un bel messaggio anche per i genitori, perché spesso rappresentiamo l’adolescenza con il caos tipico di quell’età, mentre è giusto mostrarne anche gli aspetti più disciplinati, incanalati in una passione come la musica». Che fatica crescere! Non pensate però che questi sette ragazzi abbiano vita facile, perché anche loro devono affrontare tutti i problemi della loro età. Matteo (Leonardo Mazzarotto), per esempio, si è appena trasferito a Milano da Amatrice, e fatica a superare i traumi del terremoto; Sofia (Chiara Pia Aurora) è una violoncellista eccezionale ma è timida e ha un rapporto difficile col suo corpo; Robbo (Ario Nikolaus Sgroi) assiste impotente alla crisi coniugale dei suoi genitori (a interpretare il padre è Giorgio Pasotti). Sono ragazzi che da soli rischiano di perdersi ma che grazie all’amicizia possono superare qualunque cosa, ed è proprio questo il messaggio della fiction: «Siamo delle singole unità, ma tutti insieme siamo una forza» sintetizza Cotroneo. «Invece di un eroe, qui c’è un gruppo di sette ragazzi feriti, che solo grazie all’unione e all’amicizia riescono ad andare avanti». La musica è fondamentale Accanto ai ragazzi e agli adulti, c’è un altro importante personaggio: la musica classica, che viene raccontata in una maniera quasi «pop». «Non è roba vecchia e antica» dice Boni. «La ascolteremo ancora per millenni perché è universale e può emozionare chiunque, dal Canada al Giappone». E lo sa bene un artista contemporaneo come Mika, autore della canzone della sigla, che prima di dedicarsi al pop ha studiato in uno dei più prestigiosi conservatori inglesi. E chissà che «La compagnia del cigno» non avvicini tutti un po’ di più alla musica classica, che del resto può essere davvero apprezzata da chiunque. «Non serve essere colti per amare» conclude Boni. «E puoi amare la musica classica anche senza conoscerla a fondo, perché l’arte non arriva al cervello, ma al cuore». Talented teenagers Talented teenagers The fiction of Ivan Cotroneo takes us to the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, where seven very different youngsters find themselves reluctant to practice together by decision of their very strict conductor. «One evening I attended a concert of a string quartet held by young people, and there was a spring» says Ivan Cotroneo, who, in addition to directing and the subject, has also signed the screenplay together with Monica Rametta. "We wanted to tell the kids of today, not because they are protagonists of some scandalistic article, but because they are passionate and have so many things to teach us adults, and we wanted to stage their true talent". Talented, the guys from "La compagnia del cigno" have to sell. "Instead of a hero, here is a group of seven wounded boys, who only thanks to the union and friendship can go forward." Music is essential Next to the boys and the adults, there is another important character: classical music, which is told in an almost "pop" way. "It's not old and ancient stuff," says Boni. "We will listen to it again for millennia because it is universal and can excite anyone from Canada to Japan". And a contemporary artist like Mika, author of the song of the acronym, knows that well, before devoting himself to pop, he studied in one of the most prestigious English conservatories. And who knows that "The company of the swan" does not bring everyone a little closer to classical music, which anyway can be really appreciated by anyone.
