Dans ce numéro de "La vie secrète des chansons", nous allons vous raconter ces artistes qui sont aussi des fans, et qui ont chanté leur admiration pour leurs idoles. La chanteuse Zazie n’a jamais pu réaliser son rêve en rencontrant Gainsbourg. Alors, un jour, elle a fini par lui dédier une très belle chanson, écrite par ses soins, et dont le titre n’est pas sans rappeler une chanson de Serge : "Je t’aime mais…" Liane Foly, elle, a eu plus de chance. Non seulement elle a rencontré Barbara mais Barbara aussi l’a écoutée. Alors, un jour, elle aussi a décidé de lui adresser un vibrant message qu’elle a tout simplement nommé "La dame brune". Pour certains de nos artistes, une idole de jeunesse est devenue le guide de toute une vie. Ce fut le cas du jazzman américain Louis Armstrong pour notre Nougaro. Alors, dès qu’il en a eu l’occasion, le chanteur toulousain a écrit une chanson pour célébrer celui qui lui avait ouvert la voix… et les oreilles. Une chanson sobrement intitulée "Amstrong". Il y a aussi tous ces artistes qui n’ont jamais ressenti le besoin de rencontrer leur idole. Ce qui ne les a pas empêchés de leur dédier une chanson, un peu comme on dit merci. C’est ce qui s’est passé pour Mika et sa "Grace Kelly". D’autres encore, comme Vincent Delerm, ont tenu à mettre en lumière ceux qui leur ont fait découvrir le pouvoir et la magie des mots. Avec sa chanson "Le baiser Modiano", le chanteur rend hommage à un grand écrivain, trop souvent dans l’ombre, Patrick Modiano. Enfin, il y a ces chanteurs qu’on dit engagés. Quoi de plus normal alors que leurs chansons servent à célébrer - mais aussi un peu à égratigner - des personnalités politiques ! On n’en attendait pas moins de Renaud, qui, avec sa chanson "Tonton", dit toute son admiration pour le Président François Mitterrand.
