For some strange reason I was wrong about the lyrics :lmfao:

I thought that when he sings "who gives a s**t about tomorrow...", I thought it was "gives a shiver..."

Oopps

:lmfao:You need to post this in the misheard lyrics thread :wink2:

That is what Mika said about the song :   Tomorrow "revolves around the act of making a decision in a moment of hot passion and disturbing fear: throwing myself into a love affair that I alr

Yesssssss! This song is 100% pure crack. It should be illegal. I need it, lots of it, repeated doses, loudly. I get irascible without it, but as soon as it starts I'm soothed. I would inject this sh*t

I'm glad he didn't. And apparently he didn't even want to make a "clean" version in addition, as he did with Popular Song or OOL, for example. It's just an indicator for the quality of a radio st

It seems that many people do not like the Italian version. I have seen very negative comments from Italians. :dunno:

That's a shame, I thought they'd love to hear him sing in Italian. :dunno: I like the Italian version more than the English one, but maybe that's just cause I don't understand the lyrics... :teehee: I wonder if it's the same story? Do they give reasons why they don't like it?

I prefer the English version even if I like Mika singing in Italian. The story it's similar, but the lyrics are different, this readjustment transformed the genuine feeling of the song for me :dunno:

Basically they don't like translation. They say they have ruined one of the best songs with a bad, ugly, horrible text and wonder who has been the author of the translation.

From what i can gather on Twitter, people dont like the lyrics because tomorow is a lot more romantic than domani. Also a lot of italian fans are afraid he is going to sing domani instead of tomorow in italian promo and gigs.

The facebook video has no audio in it for me. The performance on Domenica has been uploade on YouTube along with Stardust.

Thank you!! I was sooo curious hahaha

After listening (and don't understand a word), I like the English version more. However, I like elle me dit more than emily. And I like the French version of staring at the sun more as well. But this Italian version doesn't catch me!

But still it's nice to hear him sing in so many languages! 😊 I'm waiting for the magic day he'll sing a song in Dutch hahahahaha

I don’t write here so often..so I’m sorry, but I’d like to explain my personal opinion about this italian version. I try in some way to explain ..😅. I feel a little guilty because I’m one of those people that don’t like the italian version, because of the bad translation...
I appreciate so much this gift in italian and I’m otherwise very grateful for this. I’ve always dreamed about an italian song sung by him, especially after Casamika where He sang some italian songs for the first time an he was very good. So when He was writing this new album I really hoped He would write an italian song with all my heart, but I have to be honest, this translation of Tomorrow is not the best thing I expected..☹️First of all because of the italian words that are very different from the original ones...and give to the song a different atmosphere ...only the word “domani” (tomorrow) sounds different..😢for me anyway..it’s my opinion.

He sang very well in italian and his pronunciation is very very good, but it’s the translation that doesn’t work..😩, in general I don’t like very much the original texts translated in other languages because often they change the magic of the song. I know For a no native speaker this song maybe sounds so exotic because it’s in another language but for us is a bit different..and I’m very sorry for this, because He will sing it in the italian gig, I imagine ☹️But I love so much the English version!!!! At the end it’s ok..no drama but I’d have preferred another new song only in italian.
I know that other italian fans think the same, but also there are many of them that like this version too.

The album is so amazing, beautiful and moving ..I can forgive him..😂

Thanks for your opinion, this was exactly my feeling, those Italian lyrics really ruined the original song :aah: As much as I like him singing in Italian, this time it was clearly a bad idea....

Im not italian but I prefer this italian version simply because I find the lyrics much better :dunno: There's a clearer narrative and more picturesque imagery and he also uhm.. sounds like an adult :aah:

I'm also among those who hope he will NOT sing the Italian version at gigs 😆

Not so much because of the translation, but rather because of the meter (if this is the right term) resulting. To my ears, it simply does not fit. Now, I am not an expert of musical composition, but I have always heard that writing songs in Italian is quite difficult from a technical point of view, because words are mainly stressed on their penultimate or antepenultimate syllables.

There are obviously exceptions, but foreign songs translated into Italian always sound strange, because the music was not intended to accompany Italian words. I think it would have been different if he had composed a song conceived in Italian from the start.

At least, this is my personal opinion.

If he wants to sing it in Italian, I hope it will be only a little part, as he does for Stardust for example. Otherwise, I will miss the atmosphere of Tomorrow others talked about above.

But in the end, he decides what to sing, so I will simply have to accept it 😃

Domani is available in France 🎉

I found those lyrics and translation on google :mikadas::chkn:

Are they correct? Domani should have its own thread maybe?

I love both versions :wub2: I still prefer Tomorrow because it is more Mikaish :mikalove:

In this interview he says he asked one of his candidates from XFactor for help with the lyrics

MIKA - DOMANI

Domani
Domani
Domani

E dimmi cosa vuoi spiegare e baciami
Cosa succederà domani
Vai all'inferno sento i brividi

Domani pensaci domani (Domani)

E dimmi cosa vuoi spiegare e baciami
Cosa succederà domani
Vai all'inferno sento i brividi

Domani pensaci domani

Se saremo felici domani
Non lo diremo a nessuno domani
(Domani)
(Domani)
(Domani)

E dimmi cosa vuoi spiegare e baciami
Cosa succederà domani
Vai all'inferno sento i brividi

Domani pensaci domani

MIKA - TOMORROW

Tomorrow
Tomorrow
Tomorrow

I'll try an excuse
To feel fragile
Because you scare me
And I can't hide it
The heart always has what it wants
But I just want the scratches on my back
Naked in the rear-view mirror
You and me in the car with the radio on

But it's so clear
Love is a game and therefore

And tell me what you want to explain and kiss me
What will happen tomorrow
Go to hell I feel the chills
Who cares about tomorrow
You won't be home tonight
And red blood tomorrow too
Love is a game where you never win

Tomorrow, think about it tomorrow (Tomorrow)

We remain confused here
Like it was an old movie
Like two unknown lovers
If I talk a little I look like James Dean
We think too much about tomorrow
But today we are here we no longer find ourselves
Who knows what will be tomorrow
I don't see the view just you

And now I am trembling
Love is a game where you never win

And tell me what you want to explain and kiss me
What will happen tomorrow
Go to hell I feel the chills
Who cares about tomorrow

You won't be home tonight
And red blood tomorrow too
Love is a game where you never win
Tomorrow, think about it tomorrow

If we are happy tomorrow
We won't tell anyone tomorrow
(Tomorrow)
(Tomorrow)
(Tomorrow)

And tell me what you want to explain and kiss me
What will happen tomorrow
Go to hell I feel the chills
Who cares about tomorrow
You won't be home tonight
And red blood tomorrow too
Love is a game where you never win

Tomorrow, think about it tomorrow

Wow, very interesting version - still so poetical -  Mika style. Maybe not so "naughty" as original version :bleh:

Just one thing - in your translation it should be " I'll try to find an excuse", right?

I see there's two versions of Tomorrow online, the explicit and the censored one, I suppose we won't get to hear this song on radios too often...

That's too bad :( where did you find the censored version?
