Dominika
Lyrics by genius.com [Verse 1] What comes up must come down I learn it in my science class No, I'm not that dumb Your fingertips upon my skin (Your fingertips, upon my skin) You bring sunshine to my window, baby let it in [Chorus] Wherever we go, I wanna stay high not low Wherever we go, we're gonna get higher than the sun, my baby Wherever we go, I wanna stay high not low Wherever we go, we're gonna stay high [Verse 2] What comes up must come down (What comes up, must come down) But you and me, we're floating above the ground Our generation has so much gloom (Our generation, has so much gloom) 'Cause there ain't no money left after the baby boom [Chorus] Wherever we go, I wanna stay high not low Wherever we go, we're gonna get higher than the sun, my baby Wherever we go, I wanna stay high not low Wherever we go, we're gonna stay high [Bridge] Don't let me down Not now 'cause I've been high for so long That I don't know how to come down Don't try, I don't even care if you lie, you and me Don't let me down Not now 'cause I've been high for so long That I don't know how to come down Don't try, I don't even care if you lie, you and me [Pre-Chorus] We're gonna stay high We're gonna stay high [Chorus] Wherever we go, I wanna stay high not low Wherever we go, we're gonna get higher than the sun, my baby Wherever we go, I wanna stay high not low Wherever we go, we're gonna stay high [Post-Chorus] (We're gonna stay high) We're gonna stay high, high, high, high (Higher) We're gonna stay high, high, high, high We're gonna get high, high, high, high (Higher) We're gonna stay high, high, high, high We're gonna get high, high, high, high (Higher) We're gonna stay high, high, high, high We're gonna get high, high, high, high (Higher) We're gonna stay high, high, high, high We're gonna get high, high, high, high (Higher) We're gonna stay high, high, high, high

mellody
I love it, it's the ideal ending for his shows. I wasn't that convinced when I saw the videos from the shows, where he just kept repeating "we're gonna stay hiiiiigh", but the song as a whole is just amazing! I hope he sings all of it on the Revelation tour.

Same for that 'our generation has so much gloom/ Cause there ain't no money left after the baby boom' line - it seems senseless in context, like he is trying to make the song more meaningful or something, it actually sounds really cringey to me cuz its a total underdeveloped and superficial idea. mellody
I'm rather convinced meanwhile that this song is about his fans - at least he certainly gets it across as that at his gigs.
