Apparently he did EMD and Stardust (2nd and 3rd video in this post):

edit: AND Good Guys! (6th video):

Nice to see that Zurich seemed to have inspired him to expand the setlist a bit, and that those 10 minutes more can make a huge difference as to how long the gig feels. :wub2: Though I don't know if he skipped any other songs for it, I didn't see any video of Lollipop and Popular (wouldn't mind though if he skipped these).

He even dared to go in the crowd for BG, without a bodyguard, as you can see in video #4 of this IG post... I wouldn't have thought it for Italy, and I wonder how he managed to get back on stage, it seemed to be quite a fight for him to get through. :teehee:

Edit 2: @ISAJF414 has posted some live videos on her Instagram devos_isa :wub2: Thanks Isa!

Spoiler

Mika's concert at the Pala Alpitour in Turin was scheduled for 9.30pm and started at 9.30pm on the dot. Why this clarification? Because despite the fact that yesterday in the capital and a little in the whole of Piedmont the atmospheric situation was disastrous, and despite the many spectators (over 8,000) everything went smoothly: the demonstration that the nominal ticket is feasible and does not create any problem. Obviously you need to have your identity document with you, which you should always do, regardless of the concert. Last consideration: the fact that in the concerts organized by Barley Arts (favorable to the nominal ticket, indeed, to the elimination of the physical ticket) there are never problems, while in those organized by other promoters for some weeks now there are endless queues it should make you think: won't it be a wanted maneuver?

Without this necessary premise, we tell you about the Mika Revolution Tour. A tour that from the first moment has announced a great event, as to today, never any international music star has been the protagonist of a tour that touched twelve Italian cities, along the boot from north to south.

Despite the heavy rains of these days and the various disasters that occurred in Piedmont, the building was crowded and, as mentioned, the organization was impeccable.

Mika's live was opened by a young singer, Lisbon, who, visibly moved, entertained the audience with some of his songs.

The air you breathe in the Turin building is magical, Mika makes a grand entrance and shows himself from the first moment a real storyteller; it immediately draws the public into its world characterized by joy, joy, colors and smiles.

Ironic and with a practically perfect Italian, Mika seeks contact with the public, bathes in crowds, jokes with those present and presents a varied and dynamic lineup. The scenography chosen for the occasion, as he himself declares, represents him one hundred percent and focuses on his family; it is rich, well-studied, colorful and is composed of a huge stage on which Mika does not spare himself: he runs back and forth, dances, jumps and about halfway through the concert he takes flight by means of a luminous piano that appears from nowhere and lifts it into tall, so that everyone can see their idol hover in the void.

The show proposed to the many present is very colorful, full of twists and is mainly focused on his music. The most appreciated moments, danced and applauded by the audience were undoubtedly on the notes of the songs Relax, Take It Easy and Tomorrow, as well as on the notes of his latest single: Ice Cream.

Inevitable during the live the beloved Happy Ending and the timeless Grace Kelly, both sung in unison with the audience.

Mika gave his fans a concrete concert, able to get a lot of smiles and worthy of expectations.

Below is a large photo gallery of the evening.

Senza strafare, senza ricorrere a ballerini e coreografie.

Tentativo che, a giudicare dallo show torinese, ci pare riuscito.

What a joy Mika's live: a concert to be experienced. "Fedez homophobic? Never had the feeling. But I understand Tiziano "- La Stampa

TORINO. There are two moments that highlight the uniqueness of Mika as a performer and that the audience of the PalaAlpitour of Turin was able to appreciate last night in the Italian debut of his Revolution Tour. The first is when it comes down to sing among the spectators. And we literally mean: without bodyguards, simply walking among the fans crowded a few meters from the stage and making them dance and sing along with him. They take selfies and photos, and if they eat it with their eyes, no one interrupts their journey. Unbelievable. The second is when he invites the entire building to be quiet and then, without a microphone, only supported by an acoustic guitar - also not amplified -, he sings a piece of Happy Ending. An enchantment.

Defining it as the master of the stage is an understatement, such is his ability to move on the stage and to involve the audience in the parterre and on the stands. Without overdoing it, without resorting to dancers and choreographies. A beautiful fifth, no mega-screen, a pink grand piano with bulbs that goes up to several meters from the ground, and only Mika and four musicians (Timothy Van Der Kuil, guitar; Max Taylor, bass; Wouter Van Tornnhout) drums; Mitchell Yoshida, piano): "Most shows look alike, I wanted to do something different. The presence of screens separates the artist from the public, it is as if they were watching TV. I have nothing against television, but the concert is another thing. The scenography is closely connected to the narration of the show ».

Which develops through a subdivision of chapters, each characterized by a color and introduced by short monologues recited by Mika (in Italian): «Without the use of screens, the emotional impact is much stronger, than belly. The most rare aspect in a concert is intimacy: what is happening, is happening with you and for you. For me a good concert does not need fifty thousand things. I try to bring that more intimate atmosphere that is typical of the theater into the sports hall ». An attempt that, judging by the Turin show, seems to have succeeded. The stage, which is modular (adapts to the size of the building), cuts the audience in two and, in the description of the same Mika is «an immense art installation, all reaching out to the public, and launches me into an almost oneiric and intimate ». In a turquoise dress - which becomes peach only for the last two songs - and a white polka dot shirt (later replaced by a white t-shirt), is a magnet for all eyes. And really, after a while, you don't even notice the lack of screens anymore.

"I saw George Michael perform only in front of a tent, with the orchestra behind; Peter Gabriel with only a treadmill and lights; but also Jacques Brel: a light, a curtain. It is to them that I was inspired, but seeking a balance with the need for a concert inside a building ».

The choice thus fell on "a tableau made by me and my sister", on which stand an enormous gorilla, Michelangelo's David of shoulders, a series of planets, a hand and above all photographs of the mother and father: "If My Name Is Michael Holbrook was for my mom, the concert is dedicated to my parents. But my mom didn't take it very well, when I showed her the photographs of the stage she told me that I'm a piece of m ... because I put her image next to a gorilla and Dad's one next to David's ass. But I haven't changed my mind: art also wins over mom ». Ride. It is clear that he is happy with this show, produced by Barley Arts, which will take him to 11 other Italian cities (tomorrow night he will be in Ancona), before crossing the Alps again. In the end, 75,000 will have seen him in Italy - yesterday he was 8 mila -, which will surely come out of the building with the same joy that pervaded Turin viewers. Because this is what Mika communicates: joy.

He enjoys himself and enjoys the audience, who sings with all the songs and lets himself be carried away by the rhythm and melodies of this Anglo-Lebanese, who grew up in Switzerland and is polyglot, endowed with an innate sympathy (and empathy) and a voice extraordinary. From the stage he winks at the local public, when he remembers that as a child he came with his parents to Turin (the "noble city" he defines) and in his French-speaking Italian he ordered bicerìn, and jokes about the amount of rain that has been falling for days. Before the concert he meets two football stars like Bonucci and Dybala and poses smiling like a child with them and the Juve jersey with the name Mika and the number 18 on his back. Because this is what this talented artist does, he smiles and makes those around him smile. It knows how to give lightness thanks to its natural elegance. In movements and words.

Like when, before the concert, he answers to a journalist about the affair Tiziano Ferro vs Fedez, with the latter who quoted him to reject the accusation of homophobia: «Given that it is not clear to me why I was called into question - he said -, I never had the feeling that Fedez was homophobic. But if you have written something that may have hurt a person, that is Tiziano or any other guy who is afraid of coming out, which is always a complicated thing, he must say: "Ok, I was an asshole, I'll explain why I did it, now I have changed ”. Every person has his challenges and his fears, with time and a little love can be overcome ".

My Name Is Michael Holbrook» (Universal Music).

«Fedez?
Fare

coming out è sempre complicato.

Lo show

Mika, the debut of the new tour: "I made peace with Michael Holbrook" - VanityFair.it
by Monica Coviello

If so far Michael Holbrook Penniman, Mika's father (who, yes, he is called exactly like him), seemed to represent a defiladed figure, with whom the artist had a difficult relationship, today he has regained his role as a reference point for the son. And he did it with great pomp: he is the man who appears in the photo who - together with that of his beloved mother Joannie and a series of (his) illustrations that recall a collage in the 80's style -, stands out on the set of « Revelation Tour », which debuted last night in Turin, at the Pala Alpitour.

"I made peace with Michael Holbrook"
It was the first of 12 Italian stages, the occasion to present the fifth studio album to the public, entitled "My Name Is Michael Holbrook" (Universal Music). Songs that address serious and personal issues (such as the recovery of his full name and, therefore, of his real identity), but they do so with a joyous lightness, with color and eccentricity.

"I wanted the contact with the public, during this tour, to be more intense," explains Mika, who arrives in the pressroom sipping a cup of tea. "Most shows today look alike: artists and the public are clearly separated, just like they do on television. On this tour, however, there will be no screens: each stage will be unique, both for me and for the public. I would like to restore a sense of intimacy, a very rare dimension ».

Mika would like to "succeed in dismantling the defenses" of his audience, making him "more susceptible to emotions". A bit like he did himself, accompanying the audience through the story of his life, his family: if the new record is dedicated to the mother, the show is a tribute to both parents. It begins with the voice of the artist who presents "my Adam and my Eve", the father and the mother, tells their honeymoon in Volkswagen, the birth of the sisters and then that of Mika, who makes his way on the stage along a catwalk with seven stripes of color. A set designed by the artist together (once again) with her sister Yasmine.

A touching tribute to his great, participatory family. With some unexpected background: "When my mother saw the set, she told me:" You're a piece of m *** a ".

She had just given birth to my sister: she was very beautiful, as always, but a little "big" », explains Mika, spreading her arms. "Next to her is an illustration of a King Kong, next to my father's picture the back of Michelangelo's David. But no, of course there were no references, "he jokes amused.

"Fedez? Never been homophobic with me »
Before the concert, Mika also clarified the question of Fedez's homophobia. During the presentation of the new album I accept the miracles, Tiziano Ferro had told of having suffered homophobic bullying in the past, "even by colleagues", and referring to Fedez he had said: "He is one of many". But Mika defended the rapper: "He never showed any discomfort with my sexuality, ever. But if he wrote something that may have hurt someone, he has to retrace his steps and admit that he was a s ***** o. Do
coming out is always complicated. It is only with time and through different phases that one comes to be at ease with one's sexuality ».

The show
The show, about twenty songs, includes the songs from the new album and the ever-present evergreens, like "Relax", "We are golden" and "Grace Kelly". Meanwhile, Mika told a little of his life, like when, very young, he went to Turin with friends and ordered a bicerin with a strong French accent. Or when, at three o'clock in the morning, returning to London, with the thought turned to a woman who prostituted herself, she wrote "Love today". But Mika also went down in the audience and danced with his fans: "This is what we need when we listen to music: don't feel embarrassed when we dance, we sing, we move our hands, we get excited. Raising the level of freedom ".

The Italian Revelation Tour by Mika, which started yesterday from Turin, was certainly the revelation of everything that will be the tour as a whole; a big success. Mika, cannot be defined simply as a great artist, his ability to involve the public, has exceeded every expectation, not only of those who had never listened to his songs, but also of his fans themselves. A boy who not only shows, but who himself is a show. A concert made with a very simple set, made of colors, a pink piano with lights and he, Mika and his band.

He did something different that no one had ever done in recent times, a real concert, made of voice and music with which he narrated love par excellence, associating each color with a story, which he recited in a perfect Italian . What's more, in two moments he managed to surprise more than he had already done up until that moment, when he suddenly fell into the audience in the audience, dancing and making his fans dance and entertain, and when without music and without a microphone, and the whole altarpiece in silence, sang a piece of Happy Ending. Pure magic.

From the involvement of the public, and I was among them, the only conclusion is that the real show is MIKA. In the first Italian stage of his Revelation Tour, it was literally revealed in its artistic and human entirety, in which the public found crazy energy but also a lot of intimacy.
