Anna Ko Kolkowska
I have just seen another interview for the French channel France 24. I managed to grab my mobile and film a part. At the beginning he talks about refugees camps where you can cross a doctor, a cook, as well as a mother of 5 children. Anybody can end in a place like this. Mika sais as well that he misses this contact with the audience where all are flying on the same wave. VID_20200918_182322.mp4

TinyLove_CJ
Seeing as this is pre-recorded to look live, I do wonder if it could potentially be put onto DVD 🤔, this would be especially useful for anyone who is unable to watch tomorrow and of course the money can still go towards the various charities. Still hoping for the Revelation Tour Bercy gig Mika did to be put on DVD...

Who knows? In France the video will be available during 30 days on all cable platforms and to watch it you should pay 10 EUR (as for the streaming). All providers will have no profit and all the money will go to Mika's two organisations.

Seems he's scheduled only for 5 minutes, so I suppose it's just promo for the gig. Domani ti risolleverai come hai sempre fatto”. Mika dedicates a special benefit concert to Beirut The Lebanese-born singer organizes a large virtual event to raise funds for Save The Children and the Red Cross, and thus support his land still on its knees since the explosion of 4 August. I Love Beirut goes on stage on September 19 on YouTube, as he told today at the Wired Next Fest A month and a half has passed since the tragic day of 4 August, when the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, was overwhelmed by an explosion that caused hundreds of deaths and more than 4,000 injured. In the aftermath of the disaster, the British singer of Lebanese origin Mika had signed a heartfelt appeal for closeness to his homeland, already hit by years of economic crisis and political instability: "After the night, dawn will come. I know your resilience, your strength, the spirit of solidarity nurtured by the amalgam of cultures that distinguishes this country halfway between the Arab world and Europe. Tomorrow you will get up as you always have ”. The commitment of the pop star, currently also on the jury of X Factor 2020, goes beyond words: on 19 September at 9.00 pm she will hold a great benefit concert that will be broadcast live on YouTube in four time zones. It will be called I Love Beirut and will act as the ideal bridge between Italy and the country on the opposite shores of the Mediterranean: Mika will perform from a special venue, a theater near Florence. He will be joined virtually by many other artists in solidarity with the cause: among those announced we find Kylie Minogue, Laura Pausini, Rufus Wainwright and actress Salma Hayek. He also reiterates this in the video above, transmitted today at the Wired Next Fest appointment dedicated to the Next Generation: Mika dedicates his music to the new generation of Lebanese, who have seen the future go to rubble. To access the vision of I Love Beirut you need to buy a ticket with a symbolic cost of 10 euros, the proceeds of which will go directly to the Lebanese Red Cross and Save The Children, both associations concretely committed to supporting people affected by the Beirut disaster. especially of the little ones. Further donations can be directed to a GoFundMe page specially created for the occasion and where £ 100,000 is being quickly reached. “Beirut has been through a lot and the resilience and strength of its people are undeniable. I have no doubt that the city will recover once again. It is the place of my birth, it is part of me and it will always be in my heart ”, is the message of hope that Mika wants to launch with this concert.

krysady
