I mean that soemeone sent this huge amount. But I was happy that yesterday 25'000 has been collected already 💗 And now it;s 50'000! C’è una animazione inconsueta in piazza Pierozzi, il cuore del centro storico di San Casciano. Sotto alla Torre dell’Orologio inizia infatti un via via incessante di tecnici. Si montano mixer, luci, si dipanano cavi. Sta succedendo qualcosa. Ben presto la voce inizia a spargersi e passa di bocca in bocca: Mika, la superstar internazionale di origine libanese, che da tempo ha scelto il nostro territorio (la campagna fra Cerbaia e San Vincenzo a Torri) per vivere parte del suo tempo, girerà un video musicale a San Casciano. Impensabile. Ma è davvero così. Anche noi del Gazzettino del Chianti facciamo tutte le verifiche del caso. Ed è tutto vero. Ci viene chiesto (e ovviamente accettiamo) di non scriverlo né prima né durante, per evitare che la gente salga in macchina e si fiondi a San Casciano, creando un potenziale problema di ordine pubblico. E, in questi tempi di Covid, un rischio sanitario. In paese però la voce si è sparsa, e attorno alle 20 sono in tanti che, increduli di fronte al set allestito e alle persone che lavorano indaffaratissime, aspettano Mika. Mika che ha scelto San Casciano come location del video inedito di una sua canzone-icona, “Lollipop”: video che farà parte di un concerto in streaming, su YouTube, che lo stesso Mika sta organizzando per il 19 settembre. Un concerto per il suo Libano, la sua Beirut martoriata dalle terribili esplosioni del 4 agosto scorso. Un concerto che vorrà tenere alta l’attenzione e raccogliere fondi. “Volevo fare qualcosa per aiutare in ogni modo possibile. Ecco perché ospiterò una performance molto speciale, con alcune sorprese che sarà trasmessa su quattro fusi orari. I soldi raccolti saranno divisi a favore di due organizzazioni benefiche che stanno facendo un lavoro incredibile a Beirut, concentrandosi sulla risposta d’emergenza e sulla ricostruzione, come Croce Rossa Libanese e Save The Children”, ha scritto sui social Mika, in queste settimane. La “crew”, in attesa che arrivi il cantante, chiede a più riprese che i presenti rispettino le distanze di sicurezza e le norme anti Covid. E che non facciamo né divulghino audio e video, per non inficiare tutto il progetto. Anche i ragazzi della Protezione Civile della Misericordia danno una mano per garantire un po’ di ordine. Presenti in modo discreto anche i carabinieri della Stazione di San Casciano. Mika che aveva chiesto all’amministrazione comunale (che alla fine ringrazierà pubblicamente) il Teatro Niccolini, alla fine ha cambiato idea, chiedendo di poter girare in piazza, sotto la Torre dell’Orologio. Frequenta da tempo San Casciano, si vede spesso per negozi e ristoranti: e vuol fare li il suo video. # Le parole di Mika a San Casciano: “Sarà un video visto in tutto il mondo e lo facciamo… qua!” Il sindaco Roberto Ciappi fa un passaggio veloce attorno alle 20, per controllare la situazione, poi scappa per impegni di campagna elettorale. L’amministrazione comunale sancascianese, pur con qualche legittima preoccupazione visti i tempi che viviamo, ha accettato la richiesta del cantante. Anche perché per San Casciano un video musicale planetario come questo sarà una incredibile operazione (gratuita) di marketing. Ma dal palazzo comunale tengono le bocche cucite per giorni. Sanno in pochissimi quello che accadrà venerdì 11 settembre, e il segreto tiene fino a quando non inizia il montaggio. Alle 21 circa arriva Mika. Sale alta la musica. I sancascianesi, increduli, assistono dal backstage alle riprese. Tanti ragazzi e ragazze in piazza, i residenti tutti affacciati alle finestre. C’è un clima irreale. E allegro. Mika canta tre-quattro volte la canzone, fino a che non è soddisfatto. Poi, sudato e accaldato, saluta e riparte. Non è davvero il caso di fermarsi per selfie o autografi, troppo rischioso per tutti. E in tanti rimangono ancora lì, sospesi, a cercare di capire cosa è successo in questo inaspettato venerdì di settembre in tempi di Covid a San Casciano… .
