Le directeur Pierre Betton tire un bilan positif des neuf jours de festival. « C’est l’édition la plus fidèle au projet qu’on s’est imaginé, où ce n’est pas seulement la programmation qui compte mais aussi l’ambiance », se réjouit-il. Une ambiance au rendez-vous, selon les festivaliers, qui ont été nombreux à apprécier l’atmosphère sympathique qui régnait sur le site de Jullouville. Le festival, qui ambitionne de devenir « le plus petit des grands » ou le « plus grand des petits », s’était offert une belle programmation avec des grands noms de la scène française et quelques-uns de la scène internationale : Mika, Gaëtan Roussel, Feu ! Chatterton… Le public, plus de 21 000 festivaliers, était venu en majorité pour ces stars. Mais l’attrait des Grandes marées est aussi de découvrir des artistes moins connus. Comme le coup de coeur de Pierre Betton : le groupe de « classic rock » Ko Ko Mo. Quant à la localisation du festival, « là, on est chez nous, ça y est », se réjouit le directeur. Le site de Jullouville comme les dates de fin de juillet devraient donc être renouvelés pour l’année prochaine.
