Arena di Verona completamente sold-out per l'unica data di italiana di Mika, ed è subito festa.

 

Nell’unica data italiana del 2022 Mika in una Arena di Verona sold-out regala una incredibile serata di musica e spettacolo.

Originariamente la data scaligera doveva essere l’esclusivo opening di un tour, quello di Mika, che doveva svolgersi in parallelo tra i più prestigiosi teatri italiani e le più iconiche arene di eventi live. Ma poco più di 15 giorni fa, un freddo comunicato stampa dello stesso artista ha raggelato i fans. Annullati tutti gli eventi previsti e rinviati a data da destinarsi per problemi “organizzativi e logistici” problemi che secondo l’artista e l’organizzatore italiano Friends & Partners “avrebbero impedito un’adeguata e ottimale messa in scena degli spettacoli” previsti tra settembre e ottobre 2022.

 

L’unica eccezione, fatta, per sua espressa volontà, è stata quella dello spettacolo previsto all’Arena di Verona. Una serata-evento voluta per festeggiare la fine dell’estate in uno dei teatri più iconici del mondo.

 

E così effettivamente è stato, è chi era presente ieri all’Arena potrà dire, valutandolo a 360° di aver partecipato ad uno dei migliori eventi che il palco scaligero ha ospitato nell’ultimo decennio. Mika, alcuni giorni fa, sempre tramite i suoi canali social ha chiamato alle “armi” tutti i presenti: “vestitevi come se andaste ad una festa”! E i fans lo hanno ascoltato, sulle tribune c’era davvero di tutto, chi adornato da luci, chi pieno di paillettes.

 

Il concerto parte con Mika sul pianoforte, illuminato solamente da un segui, durante il concerto parla molto, forse è anche un modo per poter prender fiato visto che di fatto non ha mai fatto una vera pausa durante le due ore di concerto. Dopo “Lollipop” è l’ora di “Origin of love” e con essa del primo cambio di abito, ora Mika indossa un completo rosa, colore che dominerà l’intera serata. Mika poi scende tra il pubblico e sale fin in gradinata, dove attacca con il terzo brano della scaletta, “Big Girl” direttamente dal cuore dell’Arena.

 

Mika non si nega al suo pubblico, e dopo una lunga camminata si torna sul palco per “Relax” ed è da questo momento in poi che lo spettacolo entra nel vivo. Ai giochi di luce si alternano lanci di coriandoli, esplosioni di stelle filanti, bolle di sapone e una tempesta di neve. Non manca proprio nulla in un’Arena di Verona in festa.

 

Mika, parlando ai presenti in Arena ha promesso di tornare, e di farlo con un palco al centro dell’anfiteatro. Poco prima infatti di intonare “Grace Kelly” proprio da un pianoforte al centro della platea, ha ribadito come sia bello essere circondato dai propri fans, e allo stesso tempo ha spoilerato che il suo prossimo concerto in Arena sarà strutturato proprio così.

The only exception, with the express will of him, was that of the show scheduled at the Verona Arena. An evening-event intended to celebrate the end of summer in one of the most iconic theaters in the world.

 

And so it actually was, and those who were present at the Arena yesterday will be able to say, evaluating it at 360 ° that they have participated in one of the best events that the Scala stage has hosted in the last decade. A few days ago, again through his social channels, Mika called all those present to "arms": "dress as if you were going to a party"! And the fans listened to him, in the stands there was really everything, some adorned with lights, some full of sequins.

 

The concert starts with Mika on the piano, lit only by a follow, during the concert he talks a lot, maybe it is also a way to take a breath since in fact he never took a real break during the two hours of the concert. After "Lollipop" it's time for "Origin of love" and with it the first change of dress, now Mika wears a pink suit, the color that will dominate the entire evening. Mika then descends into the audience and climbs to the steps, where he attacks with the third song of the set, "Big Girl" directly from the heart of the Arena.

 

Mika does not deny herself to her audience, and after a long walk she returns to the stage for "Relax" and it is from this moment on that the show comes alive. The plays of light alternate with confetti throwing, bursts of streamers, soap bubbles and a snowstorm. Nothing is missing in a Verona Arena in celebration.

 

Speaking to those present in the Arena, Mika promised to return, and to do so with a stage in the center of the amphitheater. In fact, shortly before singing "Grace Kelly" right from a piano in the center of the audience, he reiterated how nice it is to be surrounded by his fans, and at the same time he spoiled that his next concert in the Arena will be structured just like that.

 I only saw him once in concert and I continue to follow him and for me he is a fantastic person I hope one day to be able to meet him I love his music every song is different never the same good Mika .. in particulary i like to listen "Le coeur holiday" and "Heroes"are beautiful songs.you can see that he is a good boy and has a good soul

One of those nights where there are all the spectacular aspects of a huge arena show but with a total erosion of the separation between me and the audience = emotion

Does anybody know, why Tim wasn't the guitarist if he was literally there at Verona? Don't get me wrong, I loved the band and they were all talented, but come on, Tim is still our favourite Tim.

Tim is also Mika’s musical director, so I can imagine he was rather there to coordinate things. Besides, Clement has been with Mika all of the tour and Tim wasn’t, so I can imagine to not change the routine up too much they let Tim help Mika coordinate with the choir etc.

Starting to upload my videos. As I heard from the choir lady on the MFC Insta live yesterday, apparently Mika told people during Underwater to switch off their phones, live the moment and forget about Instagram. But first of all, I didn't understand that (thought he was talking about the phone lights, as always) and secondly, I also want to share these moments with my friends who missed all of the Italian gigs because they couldn't make the only remaining date in Verona, or, like @Graciosa, caught Covid 2 days before the gig and couldn't go.

Maybe he has been listing the countries where the crowd has been the loudest? But I think an Italian speaker can clarify this much better!

Ah thanks, lol!  I heard it had been raining at the gig in Switzerland, and had forgotten he's been at this awards show. Anyway we were lucky with the weather, tho it got a bit chilly in the evening.

Yes he said “ we went to New York, Los Angeles, France and Holland “ .. also he might have been to New York but as you know very well it did not end up exactly as we wished 😂

Technically the fanaction wasn't organized by the fanclub, we just helped the Italian fans who organized it, I don't know if they're all here on MFC... but nevermind, those passes only would have been for the early entry anyway. But then nothing happened. Mika was doing his soundcheck, he had only started at 4:30pm or so, and rehearsed (nearly) the whole show. So we waited. And waited. For over an hour, and then finally someone said we could go and get changed/eat/etc., because we wouldn't get in for at least another half an hour. In the end, we only entered at the same time as the rest of the crowd, we just got a special entrance so we wouldn't have to find our way in the queue, with our huge bags. Someone said it was for insurance reasons, but then why couldn't they have told us that earlier, then at least we wouldn't have had to stand in front of the venue for ages and wait for something to happen any moment, while not daring to leave for a few minutes to have something to eat or drink etc.

 

Once inside, we hurried to distribute all the papers, and within a bit over an hour we were done. It was a challenge, but very good teamwork, and very good organization by @Serenamiglio_ and her friends. Other fans distributed the hearts for Tiny Love and the crowns.

At the same time, security people gave out papers in the same size (A3) at the entrance, that said "Good Guy", with an instruction printed on it to hide these papers at first and then hold them up for the song Good Guys, as a surprise. So I suppose Mika didn't know about it. This was organized "by the production", according to the security people, and I think pretty much everyone in the crowd got such a paper. Not everyone had papers for our fanaction, because we focused on the parterre and the MIKA letters, and left out the sides. Maybe that was another reason why people (without papers) started holding up the Good Guys ones.

Ah well. I wish it had worked out better, there was a lot of work and planning and time and money involved to get this done, especially by Serena... I don't think the hearts and crowns interfered too much, tho some of us already were worried it would be too much for people to find all of that on their seats when they arrive... but obviously we hadn't known about the Good Guys thing, and that apparently was too hard for people to distinguish. At least Mika saw that we were trying to do something and he looked happy, I think he even told us later that he could recognize a heart... he also looked a bit confused tho, because of all the Good Guys papers.

 

Edit: In the end, the only one of our fanactions that worked as it was supposed to was the hearts, because during Love Today everyone had run to the front and most fans had left their papers in their seats.

Hi! Unfortunately, I have only now had a chance to read it! 
As a first thing I would like to thank the people who believed that fanaction was possible.❤️

We put our hearts into thinking it up and organizing it, but mostly our energy into distributing the papers as quickly as possible😂 We ran very fast, so fast I didn't think it was possible😂😂

A number of things unfortunately worked against us: not being able to actually get in early as promised, but definitely the Good Guy sheets were the worst surprise we could have had🤦🏼‍♀️

 

The first thing we thought once we saw their FA was that people might get confused...and unfortunately that was the case....! Without the good guy sheets people would have just raised ours, even if they didn't read the instructions, or if they didn't know the song, they would have followed what the audience (where we all were😂) was doing, ! Nevertheless, the Good Guys moment was really suggestive and he really liked it, so that's good! 💫

I am a person who really puts all of herself into things, I feel guilty that the fan action failed, not so much for me, but for everyone who contributed in one way or another! Not everything can be predicted and it went the way it did, we did everything we could!

I was really happy for the help I received, I hope we might have a chance to do it again without having any bad surprises!🫶🏻

Unfortunately, few people were able to raise the crown, as Karin said, everyone was in front of the stage and left papers on chairs.😞

Instead, the fan action of hearts had a beautiful effect! And I am very happy about it! I'll put up a little video❤️

What a night!!!

Such an extraordinary night 

It is difficult to come back to reality after that... well that was reality too indeed!!! I really have few ugly videos and photos as my camera sucks and as I didnt want to lose any moment of the show. I think I really danced out of my mind all night even when we couldn dance because we were seated. I really dont know how I found all that energy as I felt soso tired all the day. But that is the magic of our good guy, isn't it? It was so beautiful to meet again the great Mika family with wich I spent two great days and I really enjoyed even the fan action preparation so @Serenamiglio_ I really thank you for that!!! The Arena was a big huge beating heart! What else can I say? Oh yes!! I had the opportunity to see again Mikagigio with my own eyes and to say hello to his kidnapper that sent me a picture of him between the computers 😄😄😄 and a little surprise: Mika wearing - among the others - the necklace I have given him in Paris!!!

And now?? I feel a bit empty, with the desert in front of me but you know what?? In the desert there are camels  that will help us to survive untill the next event!!! And Mikapeople to keep waiting together in good company 🥰💙💚💛🧡❤💜

 Ajhaah well mine wasn't a designer necklace for sure!! I recognized it during the gig but waited for Nina's photos to be sure about that  It was this, with golden pearls and colored little ponpons 😍

Actually I find so tender how he keeps attention to the gifts he receive from fans and it is always a surprise when sometimes someone recognize them in his photos (watches, socks, pillows 🥰), even after a lot of time. Paris indeed was almost a year ago 😱
