mellody
I think I saw in the movie credits that this is called "No time to leave", but we'll see for sure at midnight.

Yes this is what I first thought was "No Time To Live" instead of "To Leave".

BeccaStardust
I'm actually going to be honest but I think I prefer no time to leave While feels like fire is the better song and I do enjoy it No time to leave is my style
TinyLove_CJ
Loving No Time to Leave!!! I love the African vibe of the upbeat music it makes me want to dance so much!
TinyLove_CJ
I'd love to know who the other male voice is singing with Mika in this song but it doesn't look like they're credited anywhere, even the details on YouTube don't mention who it is. I just really love the mixture of the two voices! I'm listening to it a few times on YouTube at the moment to try and get the lyrics. Once I work out what I think I'm hearing I'll share it here. (unless someone beats me to it! 😅)

TinyLove_CJ
My go at the lyrics from what I can hear: No Time to Leave lyrics: Deep Mika voice: There's no time left to leave No time to leave behind There's no time left to leave No time to leave behind Mika: When the world is spinning There's no road out there ?? You say you don't even care You say there's a mountain You say you climb over And all of the world can laugh We can't even move so fast They'll say that you're crazy You say we're together Chorus: Don't let your worries rule ?? They're not for you to write ?? Only one thing's for sure What's good is worth the fight Deep Mika voice: There's no time left to leave No time to leave behind There's no time to leave No time to leave behind Mika: When the world is spinning x 2 à soleil, à soleil, à solely, à soleil, ah! [French: In the sun] You're able to take you're time But you see the finish line No one can stop you Oh claim your thunder ?? Chorus: Don't let your worries rule ?? They're not for you to write ?? Only one thing's for sure What's good is worth the fight Deep male voice: There's no time left to leave No time to leave behind There's no time to leave No time to leave behind Mika: When the world is spinning x 2 à soleil, à soleil, à soleil, à soleil, ah! [French: In the sun] Deep Mika voice: There's no time left to leave No time to leave behind There's no time to leave No time to leave behind When the world is spinning à soleil, à soleil, à soleil, à soleil, ah! Presci1108
This song give fantastic vibes ! This mix of african, moroccan and "mika-ish" music is just so good ! It's impossible to listen to it without wanting to dance. I prefer it that the duo version of "feels like fire" too, (the orchestral version is unbeatable for me, though). How I love this soundtrack... Edited February 3, 2023 by Presci1108

I don't hear french at all, maybe it's some african/moroccan dialect ? Edited February 3, 2023 by Presci1108

TinyLove_CJ
Just out of interest how do French people pronounce 'soleil' ? I've always thought the last L is silent, that's how I was taught it in French lessons. So it sounds like SOL-AYE, that's what I hear in the song. With the movie being set in the desert it would make sense if Mika is saying "In the sun". French is spoken in Morocco, so like you said it could just be a different dialect. It's not about the last L, it's about the O, in the song that's a different sound we can hear. Edit: To me that word sounds like "asaselei" , which means "desert" in yoruba, a language from West Africa. But it could be anything in some other dialect Edited February 4, 2023 by krysady

Thanks for explaining, my French teachers were never good at explaining things like this, not one teacher was actually French either! 😅 (probably doesn't help either that I had more than one teacher at school, they all had different styles and dialects 🙃)

Oh, that must have been annoying, to change the teachers like that! At least we have Mika to teach us, you can hear he knows how to pronounce "soleil" very well in his song "Un soleil mal luné" In French you can hear a very clear O, while in No Time To Leave it's a different sound... oh well, now we have another word to bother us, in addition to Brie

I was trying different words similar with what Mika is singing on Google Translate, and found a few versions of aṣálẹ, it seems there's some Berbers tribes using this yoruba language. But maybe we'll figure out better what's about when we'll see the movie. 1
