I wouldn't mind a ticket though, Micheal are you going with Dazzle?
For once, I'm not, lol. One of my uni friends nabbed my spare as soon as I found out I got some.
I got them through http://www.applausestore.com but they're stopped accepting applications for the London shows sorry.
-
Yeah, it just clicked it's probably highlights of the t-mobile gig.
Oh well, I've still got Joss Stone and Maximo Park hopefully. But hey, can't complain, the tickets were free!
-
What exactly is this Michael? And where? Oh, and when is it recorded?
4 Music:Transmission With T-Mobile
11:40pm - 12:45am
Channel 4
Steve Jones and Lauren Laverne return with a packed show from London, featuring Joss Stone, Maximo Park, Mark Ronson, The Twang, Bright Eyes, Peaches Geldof and Mika.
The show will once again be a blend of exclusive live performances from chart topping UK and international acts, alongside interviews with music artists and key celebrities. Furthermore from each city the show visits, new artists and bands will be uncovered.
It's being recorded on Thursday and Friday at a secret London location. I'm going to the Thursday recording. Hopefully Mika will be there, as he's off to North America soon after isn't he? So the Friday filming might be a bit close.
-
According to radiotimes, Mika will be performing on Transmission with T-Mobile, to be broadcast on 23rd March on Channel 4!
I've got tickets to go to one of the two recording days for it, so I hope he's filming the day I'm going!
-
Even if Seetickets are sold out, Ticketweb, Ticketmaster and Stargreen will still have their allotments of tickets to sell.

Hmm, it's a pretty pitiful tour!
Only 4 dates! I'm guessing they'll add another London date though.
Hopefully this means I bigger tour in the summer or something.
-
hmmm.... so one date? in austin?
im confused.... what is TDB? and what is SXSW ?
TBD means To Be Determined, i.e. they've not confirmed the dates yet.
SXSW is the south by southwest festival.
-
SWSX is the South By Southwest festival in Texas (I think!) Mika's been confirmed to play.
From the USA Mika website:
Tour dates in Mid March – markets TBD
03/22/2007 SXSW showcases – in Austin confirmed – venues TDB
-
According to the Mika USA site he's touring there in late march and april to coincide with SWSX.

Gah! So confusing - wish the o/s would update with info!
-
Looks like it's been put back. Ticketweb has now changed the onsale date for the London date at least to Monday at 9am.
That's good though, as it gives more time for preparing!

18th May - Leeds University Union
Tickets are on sale Monday at 9am - £14 for London, £12.50 elsewhere.

I wish this tour wasn't in May! I've got exams at the end of May so will only be able to do the London date at best.

Mika's Manchester gig has been upgraded yet again to Academy 1, so there's lots more tickets available for the gig, from the usual outlets.
Buy buy buy!
-
I suggested to him at the Fopp signing he should do a cover of the theme song to Belleville Rendezvous (a film) as it's quite Mika-esk.
Might have to refresh his memory if I get the chance to though, hehe.
His cover of Same Jeans was amazing though.
-
Thanks for the photos - they're amazing.
So incredibly jealous of those who got to go - it sounds like one of those gigs that will be remember for a long time to come!
At least I've got Brighton in February and hopefully Koko if I manage to sell my soul (and maybe body) for tickets.
-
I think everyone appreciated that it wasn't Mika's fault personally but very poor time mismanagement on behalf of his team and HMV as well. They should have just done the signing on another day or not at all, would have saved a lot of aggrovation.
At least we got 3 songs though.
-
Here's the link to the Grace Kelly vid once it's been processed:
-
My friend managed to blag his way into this - apparantly they had all sorts of circus acts on before Mika. He did a 10 song set list including Big Girl, Everybody's Talking, Over My Shoulder.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Dan Gillespie-Sells (from The Feeling) were in the audience too.
-
Just re-interating what's been said before - a huge dissapointment, especially after the Fopp signing.
Arrived just after 3pm, was told to go queue outside round the corner. 90mins later was told we could queue inside with the other people. Managed to end up 2nd row though so it wasn't too bad - still incredibly frustrating to have waited so long for nothing really.
Just before the signing was due to start, the "no signing" message flashed up - not impressed. I was always going to buy the album, but would have got it from CDwow as I had vouchers rather than HMV. Then Mika arrived and did:
Love Today
My Interpretation
Grace Kelly
Very short and quick. He did promise to do another signing to make up for it. I wish they'd just cancelled the signing outwright though - the t-mobile gig had been planned for weeks and they must have known there'd be timing conflicts. I spent 3 hours waiting for 3 songs and no signing.
To add the cherry on top, some security guard shouted at us for taking photos with a Mika poster they had in the window. Got very abusive and called my friend a twat - I'm going to write a letter of complaint tomorrow.
Mika was amazing, but the whole experience left a bitter taste.
Here's some photos:
I've got some footage of Grace Kelly as well which I'll upload to youtube.

Anyone else find it random Mika has tamagotchi's around his neck?
Anyone know if it's a fashion thing or simply a love of tamagotchis?
-
Oh my word that was awesome!
Was right at the front in the centre of the barrier - he did 5 songs...
Love Today
My Interpretation
Billy Brown
Stuck In The Middle
Grace Kelly
Not sure if that's the right order in the middle, but he definately started with Love Today and finished with Grace Kelly.
Got to meet him afterwards and chatted to him about Belleville Rendez-vous - a random arty film we both share a love for, hence the signed 7" below.
Some piccies!
-
Oh that was such a good night! I'm so dead after it now though.
Mika came on at 1am - the place was absolutely packed! It seemed to go so quickly, probably because I was a bit drunk, lol.
He played:
Relax
Love Today
Billy Brown
Big Girl
Grace Kelly
----------
Lollipop
He was so amazing! Cannot wait to see him again.
They were also handing out free lollipops in the queue before you went in.
Here's some photos - they didn't turn out too bad considering I was drunk and using a camera phone!

Did Livenation list them as playing Somerset House too?
