Guys, and I know this is a longshot, but as much as we all want to see Mika, please DON'T buy tickets from scalpers on eBay. It only makes things worse.

There will be a special place in hell for scalpers, I can only hope. But if we all let scalpers be stuck with the tickets - or if no one ever agreed to pay more than face value - we could solve this problem.

I would totally be in favor of such a thread. I live in San Francisco, and hope to find out the moment his first appearance here is announced.

Looks like the usual gang of slimy scalpers are already selling tickets to the LA show on eBay. I swear, there will be a special place in hell for scalpers.

Mika just posted a bulletin on MySpace - and confirmed that he will not be doing any shows in the US (even though he is currently here).

He repeated his earlier bulletin - about being in the hotel here in San Francisco at 3:00 am - and added this:

Mon 14th May - Shepherds Bush Empire, London

Wed 16th May - Glasgow Barrowlands

Thu 17th May - Birmingham Academy

I for one am relieved - as I was still 1% wondering if he'd be doing any shows, even dreaded secret shows. Anyone else in SF - or the US - let's keep each other posted. Especially since I can't get the @%#$ Secret Society link to work!

Following up. Just received a message on MySpace from Luke Juby. What a guy! He said that Mika is here in the states doing radio/promo events - not actual concerts or performances.

What a relief! I was prepared to start scouting the streets, looking for a venue where he might be doing a secret show. Guess I'll be waiting awhile for his official US Tour.

I received a MySpace message from Mika this morning that he is in San Francisco (where I live). The Secret Society link will not work - so I am unable to see if perhaps he is doing a secret show here in SF.

If anyone would be so kind as to check and see for me - or if anyone here knows offhand if he's performing or appearing anywhere here - I would greatly appreciate it!!

I had a question regarding Mika's name. I live in the U.S., and have not heard his name pronounced on the radio or anything - so I'm curious. Is Mika pronounced "Meek-a" or "Mike-a"? (Hope those two semi-phonetic writings make sense.)

I've been referring to him as "Meek-a," but recently realized that it may very well be "Mike-a," like Micah.

Ha! Great topic. I Mikaized my MySpace a few weeks ago as well. Now his (stunningly beautiful) face graces both my main page and my photos.
