  1. ahhhhhhh im a very devoted US fan and i need this thread to find everything out!! Im in orange county and i missed his LA show, so this would be a really ggreat help!! we'll all work on finding things out and posting it!!yayy!!:thumb_yello:

Exactly! Thanks. Let's post as soon as we hear about the tour.

  2. Hey, did anyone else in America have trouble finding Mika's cd? I had to go to three different stores before I found it. Where did you all buy yours?

I got mine at Best Buy too. And at a really rediculous price... a whole $8

There were also tons at Target; same $8 price; the two extra songs were dif.:

Best Buy: Love Today acoustic and Satellite acoustic

Target: oh, I can't remember; I think one was Billy Brown acoustic

  3. I prefer this version.. Freddie at his best...

    Live at Earl's Court 06 06 1977

    enjoy.

I love you for posting this!!! I love the way he talks so casually to the audience here!!! Amazing!

I can't wait to post some favourite pictures!! One of my favs is him in his yellow sweat suit, standing in the walkway of his house, leaning up against it. Or in that same yellow color with the aviator glasses on! And blue looked really good on him too. Breakthru is a great video all around but he looks SOOOOO good in it, to me.

One other thing, I love Mika but..... after all the comparisons to Freddie, one day, I put Freddie on right after listening to Mika. Sorry but there is no comparison! Mika is different and great and talented, but Freddie's voice is so powerful and beautiful and he was the best at what he did. He's on a completely different level, no one can reach him.

  4. Im a massive U2 fan but no way did they steal live aid , Bono jumping into the crowd made headlines but their music didnt

Hey I didn't get through all the posts yet but decided to stop here! The re-broadcast of Live Aid in '95 is why I love U2. Sunday Bloody Sunday was amazing to me. But of course I already loved Queen for a few years then!

    I love Freddie always!

Queen + Paul Rogers were in town exactly a year ago this month. I didn't buy a ticket, I couldn't decide whether to go, if it would be the right thing to do... you know. So, the night of the show, I went to the venue, not kidding, with no ticket and NO MONEY! I said if I get a ticket for free I was meant to see this show. Just wandering around, I saw someone holding out a ticket. I started walking towards him and at the same time a security guard walked up to him and said "sir you can't be selling your ticket out here" He said "oh whatever, I'll just give it away!" That is when I stepped in front of him and said "Hi, how're you doing!" And he gave it to me and I had to sit next to him with no money to even buy him a beer! It was a great experience and can't even describe what it means to me to have seen that show!

  5. I just saw a commercial (I've never seen this one before, so I'm assuming it's new) for some cell phone company (sorry, I wasn't paying attention to the commercial, I was too excited about hearing Mika on TV!) with Love Today playing. It said Mika, Love Today in the bottom left hand corner, so maybe Mika will get some much-deserved attention. :thumb_yello:

And, I'm not referring to the Motorola(RED) commercial with Chris Kattan dancing about in his underwear, which is in movie theaters. I'm talking about a television commercial.

Cool!!! I'll listen/ watch out for it!

  6. Freddie is my all time favorite everything! Singer, person, EVERYTHING! Permanent #1! But...... sexy? He was sexy, but Bono is SEXIER!

    In my opinion.

It's his confidence that's really sexy and he ALWAYS has something inspiring to say.

Another idea for future thread: in the USA we have something called our top five list. The idea is that if you're with someone, (married, boyfriend, girlfriend) but you have a chance encounter with someone on that list (usually famous people!) you get a time out from your relationship and whatever happens, happens.

Anyone have a top five list? I have a married and an unmarried top five. Bone is def on the married list!

    My top five:

    1. Mika

    2. George Clooney

    3. Tony Stewart

    4. Andy Roddick

    5. undecided!

  7. I had heard they were trying to work out a date. For the March 24th date the musical guest is TBA and the next live show after that is April 14th but Avril L is scheduled but April 24 is still TBA. I got this from an SNL forum and I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear something!!

  8. Well..... SXSW location and time have been confirmed!!

Add this to your SXSW Calendar

here is the line-up for that night:

Looks like a good one. Anyone have any experience w/ this festival?

  9. I was thinking this could be a thread for news pertaining to North American events........ ??? Not to leave anyone out... just so we can post news we here and know right where to go for info. Maybe there are even a few USA fans on here from the same part of the country??? I know there are a few in Montreal.

So for instance here are two shows I know of in the US:

3/25 - The Troubador Los Angeles, CA

3/29 - Grammercy Theater New York, NY

I apologize if these are posted already.....

Also does anyone have any info. on the Saturday Night Live date, etc.?

Please comment as to whether this is a good idea or not.....

    Thank you Mika fans!!!

  10. Thinking that Mika's day described in the article was not just a one-off day..... what are everybody's thoughts??? The nature of the business is very hectic and demanding. When does it cross the line of being too much do you think? And who usually says so? The artist? Management? I was just thinking about his schedule related to this- he flew all over this country (USA) in a matter of days, he flies back to Europe, he's back here mid-March, back over there, and then here again late March! That's a lot and even that is simpified!

For the Queen fans, when they were just getting noticed, they were doing so much that Freddie developed voice problems and as a result had to cancel part of a US tour... isn't that right? And that's just one possibility...

    What do you think?
