  1. Ok, I'm just in here because well today I was in a gallery(photography) and I started complaining in another thread, but this thread is more appropriate:naughty:

anyway...I;m so annoyed because well......ahhh!! I can't even explain why really, just the fact that it had so much bare walls and the walls with pictures on them were so ordinary(like a shed, a car, rubbish on the road) and it made me annoyed that this was even in a gallery.

It was obvoius that it wasn't really "art" but it was in a rich area, so I assumed it was really pricey etc......

I felt so annoyed after seeing it, like these people were just making money out of well...no effort.

:tears: sorry, I just had to get that out.........and I know art can be anything etc...but...

anyone ever see the film "Educating Rita"? If so, I felt like thats what it was like

Oh believe me I feel you. Even though I take hundreds of pictures, and I find some that I like, I always wonder to myself is they're really *that* special, in the way that it's not one of these ordinary things that you mentionned above. Because everytime I go downtown there's an art gallery that changes its exhibitions kinda like every week, and it's a small place (and free haha) so I always take 5 minutes and go inside. And sometimes I just feel like 'wow' and some other times I find myself wondering how that artist even ended up there!

So yeah, at times I'm a little scared about my photography I must say, because I'm afraid to fall in the mold of these photographers that are just like 'hey let's snap a photo of a car and then make it to a super pricey gallery!". My photos mean something to me though, I guess that's why I put them up. And some people might not even understand why I think this photo deserves to be shown in my album. Personally, it can be a color that I love, an expression that reminds me of someone I love dearly, a picture that could illustrate a song I love, a photo that makes me burst out laughing, or just something very simple in which I can see an imagery of something I feel, that's what art is to me :)

  2. I love this girl: 2221398404_5a80cfd328_b.jpg

    This picture: 2096360726_bc310dfc4f_b.jpg (so random)

    And them all :naughty:

Awww thank you so much Oakie Doke!:blush-anim-cl: The little girl is my sister, she's amazing to work with, because of her facial expressions and well, she's 7 and a true doll to work with! She never complains and is always satisfied with the result no matter how bad my pics are in my opinion!

And the coffee cups ones happened so randomly...I thought it was gonna be a mess in the end but they happened to be my most popular pics!

Thank you! here's the link to my gallery:

  3. Thank you so much! I need to upgrade to some better equipment though...I have an old Casio QV-R40 that I won in a geography contest which I paid 2 euros to participate in! I have to say these were some very well spent 2 euros :bleh: And that was when I was in 7th grade...and I've just finished my junior hs year now....gah this camera is too old!!

  4. got a phone call from allegra and mirtilla!

the big M was absolutely random tonight!!!

he talked a lot, singed less, had a good moment with the french lot and...called fanny (FOUCHONNERET) on stage to dance with him!!!!

the gig was totally different...he was hoarse so maybe thought to give himself to the fans and the audience in a different way...but gave the most of himself, being ill though!

the was a lot of pushing anyway...blue had to argue with someone! lovely and peaceful blue!

awww a fellow from my town on stage with the mikster, how cool is that! :punk:

    shoe3ig9.jpg

My hair is straight...I KNOW, shush and don't comment about it...I had a job interview so it's straight because I had to "impress" so ha! :naughty:

This is funny, I just bought the same shoes today :biggrin2:...these are Mikanoona shoes :roftl: :roftl:

Oh, btw, you look gorgeous :wink2:

  6. I agree whole-heartedly. Anything more recent than 90's, though, I am critical of (with the exception of Mika and a few others).

You're right, Algerian Arabic is the closest that there is to Moroccan Arabic but even then there are some differences as Moroccan pronunciation is more heavily influenced by Berber and the vocabulary by Berber, French and Spanish. It's a pity that they're not written languages and that you have to learn them by ear, they're hilarious. :lol3:

I couldn't write Arabic for the life of me :roftl:

  7. I currently have Scissor Sisters' Monkey Baby stuck in my head. Even without my brain my head is naughty. :roftl:

Seriously, try Moroccan Arabic: it outweirds anything. :naughty:

I know it! There are some words that are different from us, but I think that's the closest to our dialect I've ever heard...there's an accent that I can hear though...and I don't really get this dialect sometimes haha (the weirdest word for me has to be n'bri...we say neshti, so the way it is said is veryyyy weird to me:naughty: )

  8. Majaneen means nas faqda their sanity khaless (as our case), bas mahbeel/mahboul(a) are people who are silly, naive bas what differentiates them from el majaneen is that they're in their sane mind. Then again, it might mean one thing in your dialect than it does in others. : )

:boxed: euh...We're not mehébeel!!!! je ne m'attendais pas à celle-la :lmao:

:roftl: I see a big difference between Mahboul & Majnoon!!!:biggrin2:

Mahbool it's someone stupid & Majnoon it's someone crazy!!!!

Haha I'm soooo sorry! I was just discussing it with my aunt...and yeah, mahboul has different meanings, including the same meaning as majnoon, in our dialect...haha this is soooo weird, I know. We also have mharbat for stupid and another word that I can't remember right now hehe^^ We use mahboul for someone who needs to go to a hospital though (ie:us majnouneen haha!)

Oh, now I feel so lost with my Algerian Arabic :roftl:
