  1. I'm Too freaking depressed to do a proper report! But, I just want to write something - maybe it will make me feel better - or maybe it will make me feel worse!? :dunno: whatever . . . .

The queue was the BEST expereince YET! Jackie, Erin, Kristen, Jamie, Aubrey, Zoey, Chris, Tom and OF COURSE L U C Y . . . you guys totally ROCK <you know it> the queue was a freaking blast. And I can't beleive we had SO MUCH crap - and didn't even use it. Guess it is better to have and not use then not to have and want! :roftl: The pub was a LIFE-SAVER! We should all write the venues or management (ANYONE that can make it happen) THERE

r e a l l y SHOULD be porta-potties at GA gigs! I mean we are there for ungodly hours and in certain cases there is literally NOTHING around. So, unless you got a car there you are pretty much screwed! As GROSS as I think those things ARE - I would GLADLY use them in these CrAzY circumstances! It is almost a necessity and not even a luxury! Anyways I went to the bathroom 2 times in 19 hours! That JUST isn't healthy! Maybe we should bring our own make-shift potties. :teehee: Owen was GREAT - John was great - and MIKA well . . . we all know he was being a little bitch when he drove in. But, that is okay. He MUST have had his reasons! :aah:

All in all - I think the venue staff was pretty good. I mean they communicated with us well. And they were pretty nice! I freakin HATE the fact that THIS venue seperates the boys and the girls - cause it is SO unfair! I sit there and queue for 16 HOURS and a dude that j u s t came walk up and he is 4th person in. WTF! :sneaky2: I mean I wouldn't have minded getting felt up by one of the guys! :das: Anyways they let us know WHEN to put our coats/stuff in the car . . so, getting in was a breeze! SO glad for that! And we got exaclty WHERE we wanted to be! Although - I would have LOVED to have been by Chris and Tom for the show! THAT would have been a total BLAST!

I liked Gary Go <as far as opening acts go> He is a little cutie! His music is good, although most of his songs DO sound alike! That really is the only complaint! I mean I personally would not buy his album - but, Lucy did . . so. Never the less we are good MFCers, and we screamed our heads off for him, and made him feel welcomed and loved. And I think he really enjoyed the Philly show! Lucy has the hotts for his guitar player! :naughty:

After Gary Go - the wait for Mika was SO short! And thank goodness cause we were SO r e a d y! I freaking LOVE the opening of the show - CLASSIC! He really knows how to get us all <excited> for lack of a BETTER word!

Right into Relax Mika fell. O M G . . . BUT, I love how he handles things like that. He is SUCH a pro! It HAD to be SO embarrassin! But, he just got up and shrugged his shoulders at us. Gotta love that man.

The show was unbeleivable! SERIOUSLY! It was C R A Z Y in there! And one of the MOST memorable moments was WAG - when we were all screaming at him - WE ARE NOT WHAT YOU THINK WE ARE! He was just looking out and his mouth dropped open - and tears welled up in his eyes. Then he fell to his knees and finally just laid down on the stage - it was PRICELESS!!!!!! NO matter what is said and/or NOT done . . MIKA can see that AMERICA does love him. Maybe not all the avenues- but. he should just focus on those that do - and say F.uck the rest! Mika's American fans that have been with him right from the start are here to stay for the long haul! I really DO beleive he knows that - and that makes me happy through all the bullzsheet.

The show was SO much FUN - the audience participation was some of the MOST I have ever seen! I got LOTS of eye contact from Mika and Jimmy! The only downside was HOW FREAKIN high that stage was! I have NEVER seen a stage that HIGH. I got a crick in my neck. :lmao:

I can't even comment on after the show - I might shoot myself!

All I can say is - I MISS him, more then I ever have before! And the PMD isn't budging an inch! ALL I can do N O W is wait for him to come back to the U.S. HOPEFULLY next year - and God knows I will be r e a d y to do it all again!

Did you wait after the show for him out back?

    I wish I did.

  2. I'm exhausted right now, and I can't wait to get back to Miami tomorrow. The weather is killing me!

    My report:

Queuing was fun, even though it was cold. I met another fan from Miami, she's not in MFC though. I met a few more people too, we were all freezing. :lol3: I got to the venue around 4.

Before going into the venue I put on my gold hat and purple/gold mask from my WAG video and the security lady said I looked gorgeous. :naughty:

I told my dad to go to the second floor so that he had a seat. Really, I told him to go cuz I didn't want him to see me crying. :lol3:

I loved that song Gary Go did with his iPod App, it was so cool.

As soon as Mika started singing Relax I started crying. I couldn't believe I was there. I was 3 people back, and center. I had a really good view, probably cuz I was taller than everyone around me. :naughty:

This lady behind me couldn't see because of my hat tho, so I had to take it off.

The rest of the show I was waving around a flashing heart I have that has gold beads. My arm hurt so much after the show. I don't really know what to say about the show, because it's all been said already.

After the show we went to the back to wait for Mika. I had taken my cd for him to sign and this little fairie frog that always reminds me of the frog in Songs For Sorrow. He came out like an hour and a half after, and I almost started crying again, but I controlled myself this time! :naughty: People were pushing, and shoving stuff in his face so it was hard to get his attention. My dad was filming everything and he said "Mika, un saludo en espanol!" and Mika said something like "Hola! No hablo mucho espanol." I asked him to sign my cd, and then I gave him the frog. First, he thought I wanted him to sign it so I was like "It's for you, it reminds me of Songs for Sorrow" and he said "ah the crying frog!" Good thing we were on the same page. :lol3: John said no pictures with Mika, but when people started leaving I was just there watching and some people asked him to take a picture and they got pics with Mika so I got closer. Then the security said "2 more and that's it" but there were people in front of me. When those in front of me got their pictures the security said no more pictures, and I was the only one that didn't get a pic with him. :tears: Mika saw that I had been there waiting for a picture so he did a "come here" gesture with his hand and said "it's okay" and took a pic with me. And that ladies and gentlemen, was the best day of my life. :biggrin2:

I had to wear my dad's coat, it was freeeeeezing!

I LOVE this picture! It's so nice that he took the picture with you.

I would've loved to stay around after the show and wait for Mika, but my sister wanted to go home.

  3. so nobody posted that he almost fell flat on his ass during Relax :roftl: he kind of bowed and mentioned something was wrong tonight. I think he messed of the beginning of one song unless that was part of the act.

I didn't get there till after 7:00 I hate that venue it's in the middle of nowhere. I tied walking from Market street up 7th but the traffic lights were not working to cross the vine express away and I had to walk back to Arch to find a taxi. I almost couldn't get a taxi after the show, I phoned 7 different companies, one answered and told me they had already sent cabs and I had to wave one down. I hate this city not sure I'll go back to that venue :(

Despite being late I was amazingly close on the left side of the stage only 6-7 people back. I felt so old being surrounded by girls that looked no older then 14-16. I swear there was only an handful of guys at this show. Where some of you the Girls chosen to dance for Big Girls, I remember seeing you leave behind the stage and you squeezed right by me when you came back.

His band is really amazing, he sounded great but the acoustic at the Electric Factory suck.

Does anybody have the setlist? I usually do a review and post it. Mika needs a new couch, that one is hideous and torn LOL.

If I remember correctly, this is the setlist. It's not in order though, at least not completely in order.

    Relax (Take It Easy).

    Big Girl (You Are Beautiful).

    Stuck in the Middle.

    Blue Eyes.

    Pick Up Off the Floor.

    Touches You.

    Dr. John.

    Blame It On the Girls.

    Rain.

    Grace Kelly.

Did he sing Happy Ending? Because he did in NYC.

  4. I had a fantastic time at the concert last night. It was my first time ever seeing Mika, and one of the most energetic concerts that I've ever been too.

I waited outside by the stage door to try to meet Mika, and it was freezing cold. After like an hour and a half, the security guard came out and told us that Mika would come out and sign, but that he wouldn't pose for pictures, which was understandable considering the subzero polar bear loving weather. The security guards were very pushy, literally pulling and shoving people to make them go quicker up to Mika. When i got up there, and asked for and received a high five, and got my ticket signed. Even though I wanted a picture with him, I was still real happy.

Afterward, myself and the girl that I was with went to go and eat at a restaurant across the street. It was a little Mexican restaurant, and we were a little unenthusiastic because just about no one in there spoke English, and we didn't speak Spanish. However, as we were talking, I stopped mid conversation and looked over at the door because dun dun dun MIKA WALKED IN! I just about flipped out. I was like, "Holy ****, that's Mika!" We flipped out and I tweeted like three times about whether or not to go up to him. Finally, we gathered up our courage and did it. He was an extremely nice guy, and I stress the extremely. He didn't give off any sort of ego, and he seemed very soft spoken and gracious. The old man that he was with took the picture for us, and kept asking to make sure that the picture that he took as alright. It was great! We chatted for a minute or two, and then we left him to eat. He said that the reason he was so not tired after the show was because he was starving. We went back to our seats, incredibly star struck, and couldn't get over it. It was so weird talking to my friend after that, because every time I looked at her, Mika was just sitting right there drinking wine in my line of vision. Yes!

    It was a FANTASTIC evening!

    What amazing luck!

  5. Oh my gosh. This had to be my favorite Mika concert to DATE. :biggrin2:

So my mom, Mom4Mika, was going to be one of the Big Girls. dcdeb had called and said that John said to be backstage as soon as possible. We got backstage, and Mrs. Penniman, Mika's aunt and Yasmine were there. My mom said she was one of the Big Girls, and the first thing Mrs. Penniman said was "You're a little small at the top." :naughty: A few minutes later John came in with passes for me, my sister, and my mom. He was actually very nice to us. :naughty:

After about 20 minutes or so, my sister did a small gasp and her chin dropped to the floor. I looked behind me to see what was going on, and it was Mika. :biggrin2: My mom introduced herself and said she was one of the Big Girls, and he shook her hand. I said that we, my sister and I, were her daughters and I added it was nice to meet him. I tried to keep my voice steady, and I was doing it until I said "you" when I said "nice to meet you." :roftl: It was honestly because the whole time I was shaking his hand we looked each other in the eyes, and it was awesome for some strange reason. :roftl: But he was very sweet.

Anyway, John came back and said that my mom couldn't do anything until the other Big Girls arrived, so we went to the dinner meet-up. It was fun, dcdeb was there, cheesygoodness, lucy, HollyD, and some other people I didn't know from the MFC or can't remember. (sorry :naughty:)

John called during the dinner at... I don't know what time, but he said to be backstage at 7:15. Near that time we left the dinner.

We showed the guy guarding the door our passes, but Yasmine kicked us out and just wanted the big girls. It was kinda weird but whatever.

dcdeb walked my sister and I inside the theater, where we were handed off to Lucy to watch us. Us and a few other MFCers were waiting for the doors to open, and eventually they did.

The opening act went on at 8:00 and left at 8:30 so that the stage crew had time to set up the Mika stage. At 9:00 Mika came on.

First he sang Relax, and it was AMAZING. He was going through the entire theater.

Second was Big Girl, when Mom4Mika and HollyD came out with 4 other big girls. They were both great!

The whole performance was great and amazing. :biggrin2::wub2:

The MFC had passes to the after-show, where Mika would do a little meet-and-greet and sign things or receive presents. He told my mom that she did a great job, and when he got to me he asked if I liked my mom's performance. :biggrin2: I had him sign my ticket.

We dropped off dcdeb, tiibet and her husband off at their hotels, and then we went home ourselves. We got home at 1:07 in the morning, and we went to bed at 2:00.

    I'll post pictures soon! :biggrin2:
