Is Mika dyslexic ?

Yes he is, but he can read... If i wanted to sum up dyslexia for you, i would say that you can read, but "slower" and "harder" than non-dyslexic people... Veeeeeeeeery basically... But you CAN read.

 

He also said he can't sight-read (read music) but according to medicine, this has nothing to do with dyslexia...

 

And since, according to what he says in interviews (if i got it well), he sort of "got dyslexic" (stopped reading/writing/speaking) after a psychologic trauma, we could also say that it's not proper dyslexia, which is something you were born with... What is OCD and does Mika have it ?

OCD means Obsessive Compulsive Disorder : it's a psychiatric disease discribed with obsessions : bothering thought that are in your mind(most of the time when it's serious but in the books, more than 1 hour per day is enough to describe it) that you can't chase whatever you do and compulsions : acts you do to try to calm/chase these obsessions, but that doesn't work... Veeeeeeeeeery basically... To actually be diagnosed as OCD person, you have to be BOTHERED by those thoughts... And the compulsions have to TAKE TIME in your life and BOTHER you too.

You can have what psychiatrists call "obsessive personality" without being proper OCD. And it can go very far... Look at me !

Who is the girl doing the voice in Grace Kelly ?

 

An actress, hired after a casting... But the actress is only doing the first sentence : "The last time we talked Mr SMITH you reduced me to tears, I promise you it won't happen again". Mika is doing the 2 other sentences "Getting angry doesn't solve anything" AND "Humphrey we're leaving", his voice being modified to look like a sample... According to an interview he gave on the radio a few time ago. He said it himself. But now that we know that he's keen on inventing things for the interviews, and that his humour is quite sarcastic, it COULD be one of his jokes... But he said it wasn't a joke... Can we trust that ?? I don't know. I'm just quoting, and there's no way to check and make it sure.

Click on "search" just under the link where you go to your private messages (i bet you know where THIS ONE is and then choose "advanced search". And then, at the bottom of the page, click on "SEARCH" (or OK, i don't remember what it is, but once again, you get the point) and there it is !!! What does MIKA mean to me? He's more than just a person...he's the very soul of music. He has great songs, and he writes them all himself. I find that remarkable. I've listened to why he did that, and he's trying to bring back that. And he deliberately tries to make each song different, which is hard to do when all you know how to do is play the piano.

MIKA means a lot to me. And I hope one day I can do something to repay him for all he means to me.
